Indulge in pure luxury on the beautiful South Devon coast at Salcombe Garden House. This spacious holiday home is just a short stroll from the centre of Salcombe and boasts stunning indoor and outdoor space.
The property sleeps up to eight guests, with three en-suite bedrooms - two doubles and one twin - in the main house and a further two accommodated in the shepherd’s hut in the garden. The two doubles are on the ground floor and have direct access to the outdoor patio via sliding glass doors - which also allow the light to flood in.
The social heart of Salcombe Garden House is the open-plan living, dining, and kitchen area, which breaks from convention by being on the first floor. The sitting room has comfy sofas and a log burner for cosy nights in and flows into the dining room with table and chairs seating up to eight people. Finally, there is the stylish and fully equipped kitchen with an island, while the whole of this space is flanked by a wall of glass which opens out onto the balcony. This stretches along the entire rear of the house and is the perfect spot for a morning coffee, or glass of wine.
Then there is the cosy shepherd’s hut, which has twin beds as well as its own bathroom and log burner. This is located in the beautifully private lawned garden, which has an outdoor dining area and barbecue on the patio by the house. There is also the separate deck with seating alongside the heated spa pool and outdoor shower.
Salcombe Garden House is only a 10-minute walk from North Sands beach and the stunning coastline. It’s both child and dog friendly and one of two beaches in Salcombe, with the other - South Sands - offering ferry trips every 30 minutes into the town centre. This gem of the West Country is home to a number of independent shops, bars, and restaurants - from gastro pubs to high end eateries. There are also plenty of opportunities for spa days for those who would like some pampering.
