This stylish two-bedroom house is located in a peaceful spot on the edge of Norwich, ideal for guests looking to discover the city but also great for a quiet and tranquil getaway. A real home away from home, care and attention has been put into every detail of the Riverside Retreat. The property is bright, spacious and beautifully finished, the perfect place to relax with family or friends. It overlooks the gorgeous garden which leads down to a private jetty beside the river, where guests can enjoy a tipple or a spot of fishing.
At the heart of the home is the open plan living room and kitchen, a light-filled, contemporary space with bi-folding doors that open out onto the garden. Here you’ll find comfy sofas and a TV with a DVD player and a comprehensive selection of DVDs, ideal for a movie night. Guests can make use of the home’s fully equipped kitchen with a Rangemaster oven and enjoy meals around the large pine dining table with garden views. There is also a designated workspace with a desk and chair should you wish to catch up on some emails. Underfloor heating is a nice touch that keeps the space warm and cosy throughout the year.
The house features two spacious bedrooms. The master is a large room with a tall, sloped ceiling and a sumptuous king size bed with extra cushions and textiles, whilst the single bedroom has a comfy trundle bed and an option for an extra single bed to be set up. Both bedrooms share access to the Jack & Jill ensuite with a power shower and premium toiletries. It’s worth noting that if the extra bed is set up in the single room it limits access to the ensuite.
One of the real highlights of this stay is the marvellous garden and sun-drenched terrace. Here guests can relax in the sun on the loungers, dine alfresco and enjoy the views and even pick fresh fruit from the plum tree. A charcoal BBQ is also available throughout the summer months. At the end of the garden, you’ll find the private jetty with a table and chairs beside the river. A lovely spot for a morning coffee or early evening drink, where you’ll feel miles away from anything. You might even catch a glimpse of the resident herring swooping down to catch a fish!
Considered the capital of East Anglia, the vibrant city of Norwich is just a short drive from the home. Norwich has a flourishing art, music and cultural scene, lots of independent and high street shopping, a charming covered market and an array of excellent restaurants, bars and nightlife. And of course, the famous cathedral and castle, two of the finest and best preserved in the country. The best of Norfolk's coast and country is also on your doorstep, with nature reserves, magnificent stately homes and miles of unspoilt Blue Flag beaches waiting to be discovered.
