The detail

Reeves Hideaway is a quaint and cosy retreat for two, offering couples a romantic getaway in rural East Sussex. This charming converted shipping container is tucked away on the edge of an ancient woodland and offers you and your loved one delightful views of the nearby fields where you can watch horses as they graze from the comfort of your very own private hot tub.

The home sits on a private deck, so you can open the double doors and step out into your own alfresco retreat. Here you’ll find the fabulous hot tub, perfectly positioned for scenic country views, as well as a ping pong table for afternoon fun and a gas BBQ should you wish to grill up some delicious local produce. There’s also an outdoor seating area, where you can settle in with a glass of wine as night falls and the stars come out above.

You’ll be forgiven for wanting to spend all of your time outside, breathing in that fresh country air, however, when you step inside you’ll see that whilst Reeves Hideaway may be small, it offers super comfy furnishings and amenities throughout.

The cosy double bed guarantees a peaceful night’s sleep and you can enjoy a morning shower in the stylish and contemporary marble ensuite bathroom, complete with a luxurious rainfall shower. The retreat also features a quaint kitchenette, with a toaster, tea and coffee making facilities and a stylish gold sink! There’s also a chess board, should you fancy challenging your loved one to a game.

Before you venture out to explore this marvellous part of East Sussex, be sure to pay the horses some attention as they pop over to say hello. Feel free to pet them, take selfies with them and even feed them treats if you wish.

Tucked away under two miles from the historic town of Battle, Reeves Hideaway is your perfect escape to the countryside. You're located in the breathtaking beauty of the High Weald, a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Wander through ancient woodlands, rolling hills and picturesque meadows. Explore hidden valleys, charming villages and historical landmarks, all while immersing yourself in the peaceful countryside that is perfect for hiking, cycling or simply relaxing in nature.

Head to Battle and step back in time at the site of the famous 1066 Battle, then wander through the town’s charming selection of bars, restaurants and boutique shops. Fancy exploring on two wheels? The owners have got you covered with bike rentals, making it easy to soak up the stunning surroundings. Conveniently, Battle train station is only two miles away, with direct links to London in just 90 minutes, should you wish to venture into the city for the day!
