Tawny Treehouse is a delightful and spacious escape nestled in a secluded Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. With all the comforts of a high-end hotel it would be the perfect escape for a couple seeking beauty, peace and indulgence.
As you make your way across the bridge you'll see the gorgeous round shape of the treehouse peeking out through the surrounding canopy. You'll be tempted to drop your bags and settle straight into the comfy seating on the deck which is large and full of charm. But let's have a look inside first.
The interior is open plan and beautifully designed so that the sleeping area is tucked away around a curve creating an illusion of separateness. A hand-crafted king size bed is decked out with high quality Egyptian cottons, a warm duvet and plenty of fluffy pillows so you can snuggle in and get cosy. A flat screen TV suspended from the wall means you can enjoy a movie or two tucked up with some popcorn and a cup of cocoa late into the night.
The living, dining and kitchen area is spacious and light-filled. The kitchenette is in the centre of the space creating the divide between the bed and the rest of the space and is fully equipped with everything you could need to prepare delicious meals. There's a two ring gas stove with a kettle, a fridge, microwave and a Nespresso coffee machine. A deep sink and a prep area at the end of the counter provides plenty of room. Wooden shelves brim with crockery and you'll find the odd plant dotted about making it all feel very homely.
The living area has a big velvet sofa facing another 40” flat screen TV with a bluetooth Bose speaker, and the vaulted round ceiling has exposed beams holding an elegant lampshade with lower spot lighting around the walls. A romantic table for two sits by one of the many windows providing a cosy place to enjoy a long lazy supper on chilly evenings.
After a restful night you'll be delighted by the very large walk-in shower where you can enjoy a long hot soak whilst your towels remain warm and fluffy on the heated rails. If you're feeling particularly indulgent you might prefer to make use of the stunning free-standing outdoor bathtub! Simply make yourself a Nespresso and head out on to the deck and switch on the taps. You can enjoy the view and your coffee as the bath fills up.
The deck is particularly lovely, very spacious and set up for a day of relaxing and pleasure. There's a bespoke wooden table in one corner providing a stunning view of the fields and woodland. A gas BBQ has its own area, perfectly arranged for you to enjoy some alfresco cooking with a glass of chilled wine. Settle in with a good book or simply gaze at the view from your warm bubble bath.
You'll be in a perfect position to explore the surrounding Sussex countryside with plenty of walks directly from the doorstep. The lovely village of Mayfield is a short stroll away and The Middle House is a lovely historic pub that serves delicious food. The Rose & Crown is also very nice and is perfect for a post-walk pint in the sunshine. For a day of shopping and seaside you're only a short drive from Brighton, as well as Tunbridge Wells and Glyndebourne.
