Set in a quiet spot on the owners' small holding, just north of the South Downs National Park, this bespoke treehouse offers a peaceful little hideaway for two. Surrounded by a meadow where you can enjoy a picnic and take in the countryside, it’s a lovely place to switch off and unwind. Wake up in your king size bed to the sound of birdsong and open up the French doors out onto the decking. Bring the dog along and enjoy long walks along the many nearby footpaths and bridleways before returning for a long soak in the outdoor bath.
Head up the steps into the beautifully crafted treehouse, set on stilts on the edge of a pond and tucked away from the meadow by the surrounding trees. Inside you’ll find an open plan living and kitchen area where you’ll have everything you need to rustle up your favourite meals or prepare some treats for the BBQ outside. In the evenings, snuggle up on the sofa and get stuck into a board game or choose from the little library of books and DVDs. This space has French doors which lead out onto the decking overlooking the pond, the perfect spot to sit and read on warm afternoons.
In the cosy bedroom with the luxurious king size bed, you’ll find another set of double doors that lead out onto a lower deck. Follow this round and you’ll find the outdoor bath, positioned so you can sit back and relax while you soak up the countryside views. On chillier days, retreat indoors where you’ll find a beautiful roll-top bath in the bathroom.
Beneath the Branches Treehouse is located in the countryside near the pretty West Sussex village of Ashurst. Remember to pack your walking boots as there are plenty of trails in the area to explore on foot or even by bike directly from the Treehouse. Head south towards the national park and tackle some of the South Downs Way or walk along the hilltops from Devil’s Dyke and enjoy the views of the countryside in one direction and of the sea in the other. For a change of pace, it’s a thirty minute drive into Brighton where you can explore the Lanes, enjoy lunch at a restaurant on the seafront or brave a swim in the sea.
Please note that the minimum stay for this property is 2 nights weekdays, 3 nights weekends.
