Nestled in a country lane in the village of Butley, Pottery Barn has everything you could need for a relaxing break. On entering you'll find a lovely and spacious open-plan living, kitchen and dining area with stone floors and exposed beams. There's plenty of comfy seating and a farmhouse style wood dining table where you can laze away an evening over a delicious feast prepared in the fully equipped modern kitchen. The décor is light and airy and the place has a calm feel to it. The ground-floor also has a utility room with a washing machine and access to a shower room with a toilet and hand basin. The utility room leads out to a patio area and garden where you might like to take advantage of the BBQ on a summery afternoon.
There are two bedrooms on the ground floor, both with large comfortable beds, and decorated in muted soothing tones. On the first floor you'll find the master bedroom which boasts a super-king bed which can be made into twins if required. This room has lovely creamy wooden floors and is very spacious with its own dressing room and full length mirror, and an en-suite walk-in shower room. The last bedroom has a traditional cream iron stead bed and is also decorated in pale serene colours, setting the scene for a fabulous night's sleep. You'll also find the family bathroom with a bath tub on this floor, providing the perfect place for a relaxing soak after a busy day wandering the Suffolk countryside.
Whether you choose to settle in and watch some movies or spend the evening drinking champagne and playing board games, the cottage's open-plan design makes the space very sociable and relaxed, and when you do want some privacy you can head off to your lovely bedroom. This place is perfect for those wanting a change of scenery, some quality time with loved ones or a quiet space to write, compose, unwind or be treated.
The owners offer a number of glorious extras which include a prosecco van which can be hired for a night, a pre-arrival shopping and unpacking service, spa facilities, use of a pizza oven (they'll even provide the dough!), a luxury afternoon tea, bike riding and if you fancy a fishing trip they will happily pack you a hamper of goodies and drive you to some of the best spots. You'll feel pampered and coddled and just plain fabulous.
If you want to strike out on your own and explore, Butley is only twenty minutes drive from the beautiful town of Aldeburgh with its shingle beach and quirky tea shops. And if you fancy dining locally The Oyster Inn at Butley is a five minute walk from your door. A traditional village pub serving real ale and home-style pub food. The pub has a cinema room in a converted barn, available for private hire.
There are plenty of wonderful beaches to visit in Suffolk and four miles from Pottery Barn is Tunstall Forest, with the 10 mile Viking Trail for cyclists or walkers. And if you just want to stay in and chill why not book a wine tasting experience or a private yoga session?
