The Warren House sits in splendid isolation, on a cliff top above the golden sands of the Suffolk coast, and is the ideal spot for those seeking a peaceful, seaside holiday, away from the crowds. This arts and crafts property was built in 1925 but fully renovated in 2021. The modern update has been stylishly executed and all the period character maintained. Guests will be enchanted by the property from the moment they travel along a quiet farm track and set on eyes on the terracotta roof, pretty hedgerow and majestic tree.
The property is surrounded by a large garden which features a furnished patio which is just the place to spend sunny afternoons, drink in hand, listening to the waves lap against the shore. The spectacular location makes it a place to enjoy whatever the weather and on colder days take windswept walks along the beach before heading home for hot drinks and cosy afternoons.
There are two sitting rooms filled with squidgy sofas and arm chairs for sinking into. The upstairs living room leads out onto the stunning roof terrace, and has patio doors where the view can be admired from up-high. Pour a drink, hunker down and watch the weather move across the sky while staying warm, comfy and dry.
The good sized kitchen is well-equipped for creating anything from hearty roasts to simple salads. Cooks will love enjoying the pretty views as they chop, stir and serve delicious dinners. Gather together around the large wooden dining table and enjoy feasting together while making the most of the lovely surroundings.
After long days swimming, sun bathing and beach combing, collapse into the comfort of one of the four luxurious bedrooms. Sink into the quality mattresses and pull up the crisp linens and snuggly duvets for a peaceful night's sleep. Two of the bedrooms are ensuite while there is a further family bathroom serves the other rooms. Fall to sleep to the sound of the waves crashing on the beach and wake to freshly brewed coffee and morning wild swims in the calm blue water.
Beach lovers will not want to move from The Warren House but the pretty town Southwold is just a 15 minute walk away. Stroll along the beach for a day pottering around the shops before popping into The Harbour, a traditional Fisherman's pub with a menu bursting with fresh seafood. Tuck into a plate of herring milts and a pint and head out, fully refreshed for the walk home.

Leave a reviewGreat house in a perfect location. Peaceful but not far from anything. Views are amazing and the sound of the sea is soothing for those wanting tranquility. Only an 8 minute walk to the beach huts at Southwold and your own private stretch of beach in the opposite direction. Perfect place to unwind but still central to so many other options in a wonderful part of Suffolk. The Two Magpies bakery in Southwold really is as good as everyone says it is - bonus!
