Just a few miles from the much-celebrated isolated beaches of the Moray Firth, this is a location that is ideal for those wanting a slice of the quiet life. Sitting on the beautiful Duffus Estate, Moray Cabin has been designed with both sustainability and your comfort in mind. So, you can enjoy your stay safe in the knowledge that your footprint will be minimal. Sleeping a max of two guests, The Cabin is perfect for couples or even solo travellers. Boasting a majestic setting and a charming design, we're sure you will get lost in all that Moray Cabin has to offer.
The cabin's exterior has a strikingly modern identity, while still managing to blend in seamlessly with its rustic setting. There are three main sections to the cabin, each with large floor to ceiling windows. These ensure that the cabin is incredibly well lit and airy during the day and offers terrific views of the darkening skies in the evening. Wooden floors are found throughout, and the walls are adorned with charming, eclectic artwork. The living room has a comfortable corner sofa and SMART TV, while the kitchen is modern, well-equipped, and has a table with seating for four. The bedroom has a king-size double bed with fine Egyptian cotton linens. The bathroom is sleek, modern, and has an electric walk-in shower. Step outside into the spacious garden where you can sit around the firepit and enjoy the stunning views of the Moray countryside, with the arresting Duffus Castle ruins firmly in view.
Duffus Estate's location makes for a great base from which to explore the historic region of Moray. Just a couple of miles from the estate are the tranquil beaches of the Moray Firth - regularly voted as some of the world's top beaches by the National Geographic Society ‘Traveller’ magazine. The area is even home to bottle nose dolphins and minke whales, so be sure to keep an eye on the horizon. Housing over half of Scotland's malt whisky distilleries, Moray is known as Scotland's whisky capital. Whisky festivals take place in May and September, while the Speyside Malt Whisky Trail is on offer year-round. Other local activities include golf, walking, cycling, and bird watching. And don't forget to enjoy the ruins of Duffus Castle.
