Set in the heart of the Peak District, surrounded by miles of beautiful countryside, Manor House Farm Cottages are the perfect properties to explore this awe-inspiring section of the British countryside. Every moment at the farm you are spoilt with stunning surroundings, so enjoy the peace and tranquility, breathe in the fresh country air and leave all your stress and worry behind. There are three characterful cottages to choose from. All have been refurbished in a modern style but are bursting with character thanks to the retention of traditional features including exposed stone walls, wood burners and wooden beams.
The Cow Shed is a cosy two bedroom cottage which sleeps four in two double bedrooms with en suite bathrooms. Timbers frame the living/kitchen/dining area which has plenty of space for guests to socialise and relax in. And the open plan set-up ensures no one misses out on catching up with the family news. Large windows give guests constant views of the fabulous surroundings, as well as flooding the cottage with natural light. It also has a private patio area for taking morning coffee in the sunshine.
For the romantics, chose The Milking Parlour. This one bedroom cottage offers a secluded getaway for couples looking to spend special time together.
A double-sided log burner keeps the bedroom cosy all night long and the peace and quiet is bound to offer a restful night's sleep leaving you refreshed for a new day exploring the area. The open plan kitchen/living area is well equipped and is beautifully furnished with a handsome velvet sofa and chair. Take in the views from the comfort of the living area or head outside to enjoy more of that fresh Derbyshire air on the secluded patio area.
The third cottage is another two bedroom, suitable for four people. The Old Farmhouse is the oldest of the three buildings, it was built in 1750, and is the heart of the farm. Like the other properties, guests will benefit from the open plan space. It is well-equipped and beautifully furnished with cosy sofas just waiting for you to sink into after a day out in the wilds. Patio doors lead outside to a private patio area. Upstairs are two en suite bedrooms, one twin and one double, with comfortable mattresses and lovely views from all the windows.
The area has many wonderful sights to see and places to visit. Head off to the pretty town of Bakewell, which boasts great antique shops, pubs and restaurants, and don't forget to try slice of the famous local dessert, the Bakewell Tart. Chatsworth House, with its magnificent Capability Brown designed gardens, is a short drive away. The Peak District is a mecca for those who love the great outdoors, there are many walks, climbs and bike rides in the area.
