Situated in a quaint Peak District village, this authentically renovated former timber store now offers couples a cosy and romantic place to stay. The home has bucketloads of rural, rustic charm thanks to exposed stone, beautiful beamed ceilings and wide rough sawn oak floors. Add to this the fabulous earthy textures and delightful village location and you’ve got a perfect getaway for two.
The cosy open plan living area downstairs has lime plastered walls and a beamed ceiling and offers a comfy place to unwind with your loved one. Relax on the sofa with your morning coffee or whip up a delicious feast in the superb, modern kitchen. The brand new kitchen features stylish quartz worktops and brass accents, as well as black shaker style units that add bundles of character to the space. The appliances are modern, ensuring meal preparation is a breeze. And when dinner’s ready, serve it up on the rustic, farmhouse-style dining table that shares the space.
When night falls, make your way to the wonderful south-facing bedroom that has tall ceilings and plenty of natural light from windows that overlook neighbouring cottages and gardens. This is a dreamy place to enjoy a peaceful night’s sleep in the bespoke solid oak bed, which features luxurious 400 thread count Egyptian cotton bedding.
Before bed, head to the opulent bathroom with its luxurious walk-in raindrop shower and lovely Mandarin stone tiles. You also have Neom Organics luxury hand wash and Valentte body wash to make use of during your stay.

The George Hotel offers amazing takeaway fish and chips which you can take back to the Old Timber Store for a cosy night in or make the short walk down the Dale to sit by the river.
The wider area is surrounded by amazing sites of special scientific interest, abundant natural beauty and some breathtaking walks in every direction. You’re also only a 10-minute drive from Chatsworth house and Haddon Hall.
