This stunning eco cabin sits in an organic farm in the Peak District and is surrounded by rolling hills and serene woodland. Guests will have 17 acres of land all to themselves, offering complete privacy, tranquillity and the chance to be fully immersed in nature. There’s no WiFi here, so you can escape the noise and notifications of everyday life and relax in peace and quiet with a loved one.
The wooden lodge blends seamlessly into its idyllic surroundings. Step inside though and you’ll be instantly impressed at the modern design and stylish décor. At the heart of the property is the open plan living space, where large glass windows provide wonderful views and flood the room with natural light. It’s surprisingly spacious and the cosy lounge area, complete with woodburning stove, is a great place to unwind. You’ll also find the kitchen here, equipped with a gas stove, sink, fridge and cooking essentials.
Glass doors open out onto the wooden decking with outdoor furniture, a lovely place to soak up some sun and take in the view or share a bottle of wine under the stars. There’s also a comfy swing chair and a hammock to hang around in, and a fire pit with grill if you fancied sizzling up dinner or toasting marshmallows.
When it’s time to sleep, a beautifully handcrafted king size bed awaits, fitted with a memory foam mattress and luxurious bedding to ensure a sound night’s sleep. Opposite the bed is a large window that overlooks the peaceful countryside, allowing guests to wake up to the beautiful view.
Buzzard Lodge couldn’t be better placed as a base for you to discover the Peaks. Rugged valleys, rolling hills and peaceful lakes and reservoirs are waiting to be explored, and you’ll have great access to many of the best walks in the region. Trails at Ladybower Reservoir passing the spectacular Derwent Dam, Dovedale and its famous steppingstones, the gentle waterfalls of Monsal Head and the breathtaking views walking from Edale to Mamtor are all recommended. There are also opportunities for cycling, rock climbing, kayaking and wild swimming.
After all that exploring, you’ll be sure to have worked up an appetite and the good news is you’ll be spoilt for choice with places to eat in the local area. There are several charming villages just a short drive away, including Bakewell and Baslow, where you’ll find everything from country pubs serving up homely British food to award-winning fine dining restaurants.
