A cosy retreat for two, Heron Cabin offers couples a lovely base for a romantic getaway in the Shropshire countryside. The cabin sits above the tranquil River Tern and is elevated on stilts, which means you are able to make the most of the sweeping countryside views.
The main living area of the cabin is quaint and cosy with giant glass doors flooding the space with natural light. Get comfy on the sofa with your feet up as the woodburner crackles away in the corner and gaze out of the windows at the lovely views. And when the sun is shining, open up the glass doors and step out onto your private balcony, where you’ll find a luxurious free-standing bathtub. This is the perfect place to enjoy indulgent soaks beneath the stars, resting weary muscles after a day exploring the surrounding countryside.
Back inside, the cabin has a quaint kitchenette that features modern appliances, ensuring meal preparation is a breeze. And when dinner’s ready, serve it up on the quaint dining table for two inside, or take your meals out onto the deck and dine alfresco in the fresh country air. You also have a BBQ outside, should you wish to try your hand at grilling up some delicious local produce.
When night falls, head to bed in the serene bedroom, which offers a super-comfy bed that sits next to huge windows. Wake after a peaceful night’s sleep and enjoy stunning river views and the sounds of wildlife from the comfort of your own bed.
When it comes to filling your days, the Shropshire countryside around Market Drayton offers plenty to see and do. Take scenic walks along the Shropshire Union Canal or through the beautiful Hawkstone Park Follies, a historical woodland with dramatic views and hidden caves.
You can also visit the historic town of Market Drayton for its charming markets and local pubs. Cycling enthusiasts can enjoy peaceful routes around the countryside, while nature lovers can visit the nearby Tern Valley for birdwatching and tranquil riverside walks.
