This cosy, one bedroom barn conversion is perfect for couples looking for a peaceful escape to the countryside. With just the farm’s cows for neighbours and a large private garden to enjoy late into the evening, you can slow down the pace and reconnect with nature. The contemporary interior is warm and welcoming with open-plan living spaces and underfloor heating throughout. After long walks in the Cotswolds or a trip to the theatre in Stratford-upon-Avon, return to your hideaway to toast marshmallows over the firepit or put your feet up with a good book.
The large open-plan living, kitchen and dining area feels bright and spacious thanks to ceilings which are the full height of the barn and double doors leading out to the garden. Pull up a stool at the bar and tuck into breakfast while you plan the day’s adventures. On warmer days you’ll be able to open up the patio doors and enjoy the scenery as you eat or step outside where there’s outdoor seating and a firepit which doubles as a grill.
In the evenings, with the underfloor heating on and the sun setting outside, the lounge area is the perfect spot to relax with its comfy sofas and armchair. Get stuck into a game of cards or a board game or two before bed. The large bedroom features a king size bed, complete with luxurious Egyptian cotton sheets and an armchair in the corner which makes a lovely reading nook. There’s also an ensuite bathroom that has a large walk-in rainfall shower and really benefits from that underfloor heating.
There’s plenty to explore in the local area, from walking in the rolling hills of Worcestershire and Warwickshire to exploring the gently winding streets of Cotswold towns and villages. Head to Broadway Tower for a good walk, stunning views and a pit stop at the cafe. Visit the birthplace of Shakespeare, just 15 minutes up the road, perhaps treating yourself to one of the RSC’s productions while you’re there. There are several National Trust properties that you can visit within half an hour of the barn, such as Coughton Court, Charlecote Park and Hidcote.
