Swingletree Cottage is your ideal bolthole from the hustle and bustle of the modern world. Easily accessible from London, Bristol, the Midlands and the South Coast, it’s perfectly located for any couple who want to explore the stunning countryside and quaint villages of the Cotswolds. Step through the door to be greeted by the small but cosy living and dining area. Plush leather chairs and sofa, adorned with thick throws, are perfect for those cold autumn and winter evenings. Light the wood-burning stove to fill the room with a calming glow, pour yourself a drink and settle in for a movie on the smart TV.
In the summer months, throw open the patio doors and head out to the garden and patio area to soak up the sun. Light the fire pit to unwind as the sun sets over the Cotswolds countryside. Why not dine alfresco on the outdoor furniture while the dogs explore the safe, enclosed garden and paddock area?
The fully fitted kitchen is ideal for creating culinary delights from local produce you’ve picked up on your travels. Whether it’s cooking up a delicious cooked breakfast in the morning, a hearty sandwich for lunch or a warming evening meal after a long day spent exploring the captivating Cotswolds. As the evening rolls around, it’s time to head to your cosy double bedroom. With exposed local stone and large windows bathing the room in light, it’s the perfect place to drift off. The larger-than-double, four-poster bed is adorned with luxury bedding and extra throws for those chilly nights.
Wake up feeling refreshed and recharged. Step into the walk-in shower or sink into the deep bath to get ready for another day in the Cotswolds. Hikers and cyclists are spoiled with plenty of stunning country walks directly from the door. Meanwhile, the nearby charming towns of Stow-on-the-Wold, Bourton-on-the-Water and Chipping Norton all offer a plethora of independent shops, cafes, restaurants and pubs. Further afield, the town of Cheltenham and the historic city of Oxford are perfect to explore for a day. For a slice of history, visit Sudeley Castle or the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Blenheim Palace, the former home of Sir Winston Churchill.
