Laying in the midst of the picturesque Herefordshire countryside and hills is Stone Cottage. This traditional country home has been lovingly refurbished to offer patrons a stay that is both full of country charm and avails of all necessary mod cons. Here, the past meets the present, as the historic exterior juxtaposes an ultra-contemporary interior, ensuring your stay will be one to write home about. And with location that offers wonderful access to one of the UK's most beautiful regions, you won't be stuck for things to see and do. Sleeping a maximum of two guests, this delightful cottage is the ideal location for couples and honeymooners alike.
Stone Cottage has been meticulously renovated by the owners to the highest of standards, with style and comfort considered in equal measure. The exterior is firmly rooted in its rustic past, while the interior is of a contemporary construction with a few traditional quirks. The spacious downstairs is open-planned, containing a fully equipped kitchen, a large dining table, and the sitting area - complete with flat screen TV and modern log burning fireplace. Upstairs, the mezzanine bedroom - which overlooks the lower level - contains a super king size bed and sits under timber framed vaulted ceilings. The ultra-modern en suite bathroom houses a walk-in shower and standalone bathtub. The spacious garden has outdoor seating and a BBQ, while also offering panoramic views of the beautiful Herefordshire countryside.
The local area is ideal for those wanting a quiet slice of countryside life. There are numerous walking and cycling trails, and the nearby hamlet of Much Marcle has a couple of traditional English pubs that are worth a visit. The Wye Valley AONB - famed for its gorge scenery, dense native woodlands, wildlife, and archaeological and industrial remains - is just a short drive west. Just to the east is another AONB: the Malvern Hills. From the region's highest summit, one can survey the hills of Herefordshire, the Welsh mountains, the Bristol Channel, and the cathedrals of Worcester, Gloucester, and Hereford. For a slice of urban life, Hereford, the county town of Herefordshire, is a 25-minute drive away, and the cathedral city of Worcester sits 50-minutes to the northeast.
