On the edge of the UNESCO World Heritage city of Bath sits a five-bedroom, modernist new-build property ideal for groups of friends and family alike. Dearholme's modern exterior is matched by the décor, which is at once contemporary and homely. Just a short drive from Bath's centre, its location is ideal for daily excursions into one of England's most iconic cities, while the house has all necessary comforts and mod-cons - should you not feel like budging. Its huge floor to ceiling windows offer arresting views of the majestic Somerset countryside, meaning the huge open-planned living area serves as a de facto viewing gallery.
The house is entered via the top floor. The open-planned communal area - the focal point of the house - is bathed in natural light coming through a wall of windows, offering sprawling views of the Somerset countryside and Solsbury Hill. The modern kitchen comes fully equipped, has plenty of food prep space, and benefits from an island and breakfast bar. The dining table sits adjacent and can seat up to 12 guests, while the living area has a large modular sofa and a wall-mounted flat screen TV. A terrace is accessed via sliding patio doors and has some outdoor seating, perfect for taking in the striking views.
There are five bedrooms in all, each with a sleek yet homely air, perfectly befitting this unique property. Two king sizes rooms sit on the top floor - each with their own ensuite bathroom - while an additional twin room is on the same level. Descend to the lower floor where you will find another twin and king-sized room. These bedrooms share the main family bathroom which houses a large bath/shower along with his and hers sinks. Outside, there is a grassy area which surrounds the house and offers a great spot for children to play on.
For those who enjoy the great outdoors, the surrounding countryside is replete with gorgeous walking and cycling routes. For a more urban experience, you will be ideally situated just a short drive from Bath. Known for and named after its Roman-built baths, the city is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Some of its many points of interest include the Roman Baths, Bath Abbey, Royal Crescent, Bath Skyline, and its many fine examples of Georgian architecture. Royal Victoria Park also hosts a variety of carnivals and seasonal events throughout the year. And that is without mentioning the city’s shopping, cafés, restaurants, and vibrant nightlife.
