Leave a reviewThe house is beautiful, with a modern finish and a wonderful vista of a hillside where cows, deers and birds of prey pass by. The hot tub is a good size, think we got about 8 of us in there. The kitchen is huge and easy to prepare big meals on the central island. Tim was very helpful and a great host, would definitely hope to visit again and recommend to others.

We could not have asked for a better property. The house is absolutely stunning throughout. It was clean, and perfectly presented. The views and gardens are wonderful. The hot-tub was a highlight. The house is in a great location, short walking distance to the town and beautiful country walks on your doorstep. Tim was a fantastic host going out of his way to make sure we had everything we needed and got us tickets to the Rock and Ribs festival, which was great fun. Perfect house, location and host. We will be visiting again. Thank-you Tim.

Amazing! We had the best time and the house is simply wonderful. Beautiful setting in the countryside with farm shops nearby. It was a hen party and Tim was very accommodating. Tim organised bike hire for 10 of us and we cycled 5miles to the pub. The hot tub was brilliant and it was a perfect set up for the private chef we had come to the house with cocktail bar on the terrace. Highly recommend!

Amazing!! We had the best time! The house is just wonderful- clean, modern, spacious and welcoming. Tim was so helpful and accommodating- Tim organised bikes for the weekend and we cycles to a local pub (5miles away). It was a hen party and we had a private chef and cocktail man for the evening which was just dreamy. The hot tub was used many times that weekend and it's a fab location. Stunning countryside views and not far from great farm shops. Highly recommend, was perfect. Thank you.

We have just returned from a wonderful holiday at Wykeham house. We booked a 3 night stay for 3 adults and 6 children and we could have certainly accommodated more! Tim was on hand to welcome us and had even provided some goodies for us to enjoy. The house is very spacious but also has a cosy feel, and the garden and outside space are perfect for the children to explore. The hot tub was a real treat and very easy to use. The kitchen is a pleasure to cook in and very well equipped with everything you might need. The local farm shop is a must to visit and is very well stocked. We will definitely be visiting again!

We stayed at the house in March for a weekend. There were 12 of us - all old friends who wanted to stay in a place where we could relax, catch up and have fun together. This was the perfect spot! The house was ideal for what we were looking for - a really sociable cosy downstairs area and comfortable clean rooms. We loved the layout of the house and the views were gorgeous. The hot tub was a fab addition, even in the cold drizzly weather we took full advantage! Tim was on hand to help when we needed more logs for the fire. The whole stay was perfect and we are already planning another weekend there next year! Thank you!

A beautiful stay at Wykeham House! We booked 2 nights for 11 adults and 2 toddlers and it was perfect. The home is designed with a warming and modern touch. Very spacious, useful for the kids to explore. The under floor heating was just perfect for the fall. The house was fully equipped (everything you need and more!). The host was very friendly and helpful, excellent service. There are many coffee shops, supermarkets and areas to explore nearby. The hot tub was definitely a highlight of the trip! Will be visiting again soon, thank you for the stay!

The house was beautiful and was just as it was described online. The property was clean and tidy and the views were amazing. The kitchen was full equipped, there were plenty of towel for us to use for the showers and the hot tub and plenty of logs for the log burner. The lay out of the property was perfect for a social gathering. Tim the host was very helpful and welcoming and we would definitely visit again - thank you for letting us stay at your beautiful property.

This is the second time we have spent family time in this beautiful house in Somerset. The first occasion was in the spring of 2022 when the family, all eleven of us, met at the house. We stayed for four nights and appreciated the house very much. The house is nicely decorated, clean and had all we needed. This included the popular hot tub which the children and adults loved, a high chair and stair gates for our over active toddler, plenty of fridges, a freezer, a very handy washing and separate tumble dryer which we needed having used the hot tub. We have recently returned home from the house where we stayed for four nights over the New Year. It was lovely to be greeted by the Christmas lights inside and outside the house too. We also appreciated the welcome pack left for us especially the cheese. Our host Tim Baylis was a saint. He was always contactable if we ever had a problem or query. One of the highlights for the children was the visits of Tim’s well behaved labrador dog named Badger. We took some doggy treats for Badger on this occasion which he was pleased to be fed by the children. I cannot fault the house, the location and the host. I would highly recommend family time at any time of the year at Wykeham View. Thank you Tim.

What an amazing property! A beautiful, cosy house with great views. The surrounding areas were great to explore and we loved having nights in making the most of the hot tub! The house was perfect for our babies too, child gates on the stairs, high chair and a cot provided (the underfloor heating in the living room was perfect for them too!). The house was spotlessly clean and had everything you could need, including extras like towels for the hot tub and shampoo/conditioner in every bathroom. Tim was a fantastic, welcoming host and was available when we had issues with turning the hot tub on, he even posted some items that we had left at the property! The perfect property for a group weekend away, we would love to return in the future!

I would highly recommend a stay at Wykeham House. We booked 2 nights for 12 adults and 2 dogs. First impressions - the area of Wincanton is lovely and the house is situated in a secluded area looking over a small valley which is gorgeous. There was plenty of parking for our 5 cars and heaps of space for the dogs to run around (they had a great time). The house itself is spacious and airy, but also cosy at night with heated floors in the living area! We had everything we needed for our stay, even the little things that you sometimes miss — toiletries in bathrooms, plenty of towels, washing up liquid, dishwasher tabs, bin bags, plenty of fridge and freezer space too. The only things we needed to bring were food and drink, to which there was a supermarket just up the road. On our first night we had a BBQ on the deck and jumped in the hot tub afterward, it was great! The hot tub tub is situated up the path, separate to the house. It overlooks the valley and has a little bar/seating area next to it, it was a perfect socialising space. The beds were very comfy and the house was spotless. Tim was a welcoming host and made sure that we had everything we needed, we really loved our stay and would definitely consider coming back.
