This stunning cottage is set in the peaceful forests of southern Snowdonia. An idyllic retreat for families and friends, it boasts luxurious interiors, three acres of landscaped gardens and breathtaking views over the Dyfi Valley. Guests will instantly fall in love with the warm and welcoming home, which has been thoughtfully decorated and beautifully furnished by the helpful hosts.
Downstairs you’ll find plenty of room for everyone to mingle, including three spacious living areas with cosy wood burners. This gives the option for some guests to socialise and listen to music, whilst others can relax and watch a film or even play a board game, perfect if you are staying with children. If you want to eat in, there is a fully fitted kitchen stocked with everything even the most adventurous cook could wish for. Dinner can be served in the dining room, which has a large wooden table and space for 12 guests. There’s also a utility room, wet room with bath, WC and a map room located downstairs. Guests also have access to a fab games room in a detached outbuilding that has a table tennis table, a seven foot pool table and en-suite shower and toilet.
All six bedrooms are upstairs. The master bedroom has its own ensuite bathroom for added privacy and then there are two king bedrooms (one with ensuite), a double, a twin bedroom (which can be attached to form a super king bed) and one iron day bed with trundle that provides twin beds or can be combined to a king.. All bedrooms are fitted with luxuriously comfortable mattresses and premium bed linen to ensure a sound night’s sleep. There are two additional shared shower rooms upstairs.
Outside the property is the glorious garden with luscious lawns, gentle streams and ponds, as well as a patio area with outdoor furniture for alfresco dining. It’s essentially your own private park and makes a truly magical place to unwind.
Maesywerngoch couldn’t be better located as a base to discover southern Snowdonia. A haven for walkers and cyclists, there are many scenic trails to be explored, some of which are right on your doorstep. Slightly further afield is Dyfi Forest and its cascading waterfalls, and the challenging climb up the famous peaks of Cadar Idris.
If you need to stock up on supplies or fancy a drink and a bite to eat, Machynlleth is around a 15-minute drive away and is a rural market town with a vibrant atmosphere and a great selection of shops, bars and restaurants. You’re also just a stone’s throw away from the picturesque harbour village of Aberdovey and its wonderful sandy beach.
