Beautiful farmhouse with indoor swimming pool set amongst Dorset's green fields
Set in the beautiful Dorset countryside, this quintessentially English farmhouse makes the perfect getaway for large groups of friends and family hoping to escape the stresses of everyday life. Surrounded by lush, green fields, which are home to the farm's 500 beef cattle herd, this lovely property lies on the edge of the Tarrant Valley.
The Georgian farmhouse offers everything a large group could need for a break, including all modern conveniences such as Sonos and smart televisions. It is a relaxing place to reconnect with loved ones and enjoy the fresh air and green valleys of this very lovely part of England.
There are extensive gardens, an orchard and an outdoor play area for children. The gardens are a peaceful place to while away the seemingly endless days of summer, enjoying a glass of Pimms with friends and dining al fresco, while children play happily nearby.
Inside the house is furnished with both comfort and style in mind, with period furniture throughout. There are two double bedrooms and two super kingsize doubles. All of these have ensuite bathrooms, with showers, and three of the bedrooms boast roll top baths, perfect for a soak after a long country walk.
Deep, soft sofas fill the living area, offering plenty of space for families to get cosy, cuddle up and watch a movie. Or why not spend time playing games? The well-equipped kitchen has a large dining table and the traditional range-style cooker makes catering for large groups easy. It's the perfect spot for leisurely breakfasts on slow weekend mornings. There is also an additional dining room which gives guests a more formal option and is ideal for special celebration meals, such as Christmas or birthdays.
Start or finish the day with a dip in the 12 metre indoor swimming pool, and then relax in the sauna, before meeting back up with friends and maybe heading down to the local pub, The Langdon Arms. This dog and child friendly pub is just a five minute walk away. It's great for cosy Sunday lunches, or evenings at the bar.
Launceston Farm makes an ideal base for exploring Dorset and its many popular spots. Be sure to visit the Jurassic Coast, which is a 30 minute drive away. This UNESCO World Heritage site offers stunning beaches perfect for paddling, rock pooling and fossil hunting.
