Breathtaking, modern and minimalist property situated on a nature reserve on the magical Kent coast.
Equal-parts sophisticated retreat and contemporary art installation, this breathtaking property is a unique space where visitors can relax amongst nature and marvel at the other-worldly Dungeness location.
The preserved timber skeleton of railway carriages which once sat in the property's location have been incorporated into the space which provides a talking point, a frame for the stunning views and an installation which casts fascinating shadows and an ever-changing display of shapes against the plain walls. Stunning picture floor-to-ceiling windows offer breathtaking views of the mysterious landscape of Dungeness, meaning Channel View provides a visual feast wherever guests look.
In summer, relax in the living area and enjoy basking in the light while reclining with coffee on the stylish sofas. In the winter months, the space is transformed by the low sun and long shadows and flickering wood-burning fires. Spend chilled-out evenings curled up with a book and a blanket. Alternatively, retire to the snug, where a double day bed invites guests to kick off their shoes and lounge in comfort.
The kitchen area of the open plan living space is typically stylish with simple cupboards and work areas and an island where cooks can prepare meals while enjoying more of those inspirational views.
A spectacular dining experience awaits guests when meals are ready to be served and the large wooden dining table is situated inside the railway carriage within the living space. Pull open the door to let the outside in, for an unforgettable meal whether breakfast, lunch or dinner.
Outside there is further dining furniture amongst the beautiful seaside garden, which is filled with wild grasses and flowers. Sit quietly enjoying the peace of this seaside reserve and in the evening be blown away by the majestic night sky.
A wonderfully comfortable bed awaits guests when it's time to turn in, with a porthole window offering glimpses of the lighthouse and bringing light and birdsong in as visitors wake to a new day.
And there is plenty to occupy guests in the immediate location. Take strolls around the reserve, explore the lighthouse, enjoy a wild dip in the sea or visit nearby Rye which is full of lovely independent shops, cafes and pubs. For something to eat and drink closer to home, there are two pubs, The Pilot and The Britannia, on the reserve which are great for pints and pub grub.
Please note that the minimum stay for this property is 2 nights
