There are nine rooms to choose from, all of which feature an extra-large bed, en-suite bathroom, and a flat screen TV. Each room adheres to the overall classic and cosy style, with many boasting original features such as wooden beams, as well as offering views down the winding streets of the village.
Breakfast is included with each night’s stay and is served in the on-site restaurant in the heart of Bel and The Dragon. At other times of the day the restaurant dishes up amazing food from their a la carte menu, while there is also a bar where a pre or post dinner drink can be enjoyed. Anyone who enjoys golf has the choice of two courses both within eight miles of the doorstep of the Bel and The Dragon.
While Kingsclere promotes the quiet life, the city of Reading is less than 19 miles away. As well as its plethora of shops, bars, and eateries, its museum is also home to the Bayeux Tapestry and many other interesting exhibits. The Thames path is well worth exploring while stopping in the many pubs along the way, while a boat trip up the Kennet and Avon Canal is a very pleasant way to spend an afternoon.
