Take a break to the peaceful Hampshire countryside and enjoy a relaxing stay at Holstocks. This romantic, semi-detached home for two, was built in the style of the local buildings in order for it to nicely compliment the historical landscape of the national park. With all the modern amenities you’ll need for a perfect stay, this property still offers a nod to the past with beautiful exposed oak beams, flint brickwork and a selection of lovely, hand-picked antique furnishings.
The interior is pretty and peaceful and has been furnished to a very high standard. The open plan living space features a big, luxurious L-shaped sofa where you can cuddle up and enjoy a movie on the 40 inch smart TV. Or, simply grab a glass of wine and chat as you gaze out the big windows at the nicely lawned garden. In summer, slide the bi-fold doors open and allow the outside to come in, stepping out onto the patio with its dining table for two.
The modern kitchen is stylish and nicely equipped, making meal prep a breeze. You have an electric oven and hob, fridge/freezer, microwave, dishwasher and a washer/dryer for added convenience. Enjoy meals on the dining table, which can seat up to six guests in comfort.
The bedroom at Holstocks sleeps two guests and can either be configured as a big, luxurious super-king size bed or as a set of twins, offering plenty of flexibility. Thanks to the peaceful surroundings, you’re guaranteed a fab night’s sleep. Wake and take your morning coffee out to the pretty garden before heading out to explore the many walking routes that stretch out for miles in all directions. The property’s bathroom features a walk-in shower and WC with complimentary REN toiletries.
This part of Hampshire is famous for its rolling downs, chalk streams and varied history. So be sure to head out and explore the area. Named ‘Jane Austin country’, be sure to visit many of the National Trust properties that inspired her novels, and you can even visit the house where she wrote some of them. Other fab spots to visit include Sky Park Farm, which is a nice deer farm that all the family will love; Hambledon Vineyard, which offer tours and wine tastings; and Uppark, an amazing 18th century house that is on the South Downs ridge and gives beautiful views as far out as the English Channel.
