In a secluded corner of Barrow Hill Farm, Shorthorn Tiny House lies at the end of a pretty farm track surrounded by open fields and woodland. This stylish home is perfect for romantics looking for privacy, peace and pretty views of the lovely Hampshire countryside. It has a simple but elegant exterior and the timber planks and tiled roof give way to a luxurious interior which is full of modern character with touches of traditional charm.
Guests enter through the large patio doors into the cosy Scandi-style living area where a stylish velvet sofa for two sits next to a cosy wood burning fire. Snuggle up with a glass of wine and watch the weather sweep across the fields, all the while warming toes by the crackling fire. During the warmer months, leave those patio doors wide open and enjoy the fresh air and birdsong from the comfort of this luxurious room.
Wooden planks line the cabin from the floorboards to the tip of the pitched ceiling. These fair-toned timbers help enhance the light and space while a teal feature wall adds a warm pop of colour. A small kitchen can be found off the living area and, despite its size, it is big on style and convenience. It even boasts pretty views of the farmland from the kitchen window.
Prepare romantic meals in this well-equipped kitchen and enjoy a candlelit supper out on the large patio which over looks woods and fields. Maybe watch hares race across the meadow with birdsong providing the evening's soundtrack.
Relax after dinner in the double-sized outdoor copper bath tub. Pop open a bottle of bubbles and enjoy some romantic stargazing while relaxing in the warm water.
And when it's time to bed down for the night, head up the wooden stairs from the living area to the mezzanine bedroom. Dive into the king-sized bed, dressed in crisp linens, snuggly duvets and warm woolly blankets. Fall to sleep in the moonlight, as it streams through the roof light, and enjoy a deep, uninterrupted sleep in this most peaceful of locations.
Guests may not wish to move from this special spot but there is plenty to explore nearby. Take a trip to historic Portsmouth and visit the famous naval dockyard where Henry VIII's famous flagship, the Mary Rose, is housed. And, for excursions closer to home, try a wander over the nearby South Downs followed by a cosy, fireside dinner at Ye Olde George Inn at East Meon.
