Enjoy a restful sleep by the sea and wake up to spectacular views over the idyllic Start Bay at WILDCOMFORT. These two marvellous Birdhouse Cabins, each with their own private bathroom cabin next door, offer couples a romantic break in an awe-inspiring setting.

Situated on part of the privately-owned Blackpool and Start Estate, that stretches from Stoke Fleming to Start Point in South Devon, you’re ideally located for visiting some of the most beautiful beaches this part of the UK has to offer. And after a day lounging on the sand or enjoying a scenic clifftop stroll, you and your loved one can retire back to your stylish cabin for an evening of peace.

Both cabins are wonderfully designed, making use of modern technology and sustainable materials, to guarantee you a fantastic stay. Wake up in your super-comfy double bed and enjoy the sunrise through your beautifully crafted porthole window. You can then move onto your private deck where you can take in more of the jaw-dropping views, or simply sit in the sunshine with a good book. Each cabin also comes with its own private bathroom for added convenience that sits right next door.

Thanks to the off-grid nature of the cabins, you can rest assured knowing you’re enjoying an environmentally-friendly stay that makes you feel like a part of the surrounding woodlands and wildlife.

Guests staying at WILDCOMFORT also have access to Captain’s Cabin. This is hidden on a ledge in the woods, surrounded by magnolia and cork trees. This space is essentially a BYOB pub and kitchen, where you and your loved ones can come together and relax in the tranquil atmosphere.

There’s a fully-fitted kitchen in Captain’s Cabin that makes use of an epic wood-fired oven, three gas hobs, a sink with hot water, two large yeti coolers and all the essential pans, cutlery and crockery you’ll need. Once you’ve rustled up a delicious meal, enjoy it on the spacious dining table that sits next to the huge window, flooding the space with natural light.

Captain’s Cabin also features a roaring fireplace to keep you toasty and warm all year round and another decking area, where you relax with a drink or a nice morning coffee. Guests from both cabins are welcome in this communal space, so if you’re travelling as a couple, you might just meet some other interesting people.

Situated, as you are, in a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and Heritage Coastline, you’re ideally placed to visit some of Devon’s most spectacular beaches. Blackpool Sands, which is just a short hop away, is without doubt one of the most spectacular beaches in the whole of the UK. There are many other fab spots nearby and you have easy access to quaint village pubs, dramatic cliffs, tumbling surf, food markets, local vineyards and even some delightful buzzing fishing ports.
