Tucked away in the Blackdown Hills in East Devon, The Hideaway is a cosy cabin packed with luxury features, perfect for a romantic escape to the countryside. Wake up to the peace and quiet of rural Devon and spend the day exploring your surroundings, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, or head down to the Jurassic Coast for a day at the seaside. In the evening, relax in the hot tub back at The Hideaway and enjoy a glass of something as the sun sets.
The cabin has a bright and airy interior, thanks to big windows and huge bi-fold doors that form one of the walls of the living area. This allows you to completely open up the space and invite the outdoors in on warmer days. It has been furnished in a contemporary style, using a natural colour palette, creating a relaxing atmosphere and complementing the rural surroundings.
There’s an open plan living and dining area where you can enjoy the views of the garden through those huge windows as you tuck into breakfast or relax on the sofa. The well-equipped kitchenette is just to the side of this space and you’ll find everything you need to whip up simple meals. Enjoy your meals at the dining table for two or take them outside to the deck in front of the cabin where you’ll find a picnic table.
Head down the short corridor and you’ll find the comfy double bed at the other end of the cabin. This space also has big windows, letting in plenty of natural light and making it the perfect spot to sit with your morning coffee as you soak up the view. The modern bathroom features a walk-in shower and there’s underfloor heating throughout the cabin to keep you extra cosy.
The Hideaway is surrounded by four acres of pretty meadows and an eco pond which you’re free to explore. You can stride out into the Blackdown Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty for long walks amidst some of Devon’s most spectacular scenery. Or, wander through the market town of Honiton which is less than three miles away. Head down to the Jurassic Coast for a day at the beach and to hunt for some fossils. If you fancy a change of pace, Exeter is just 20 minutes away with plenty of activities on offer and some fantastic cafes and restaurants.

Leave a reviewThe only thing we could have asked for was more time there! Partner and I visited as a last minute anniversary trip. Loved every moment there. Even when the weather was awful this was a piece of bliss! Owners had great communication. Genuinely can’t fault a thing and we can not wait to book here again!!!
