Three luxury stargazing cabins nestled in the Blackdown Hills, between Dartmoor and the Jurassic coast, amongst the grasses and flowers of re-wilded farmland, these luxury cabins with outdoor baths, complete with their own outdoor bath tub, are the perfect escape for those wishing to unplug from everyday life and immerse themselves in the peace and tranquility of the natural world.
Each cabin has been named after three of the many constellations which fill the pollution free skies which make for a truly magical experience. Guests find each cabin situated in its own private oasis. Constructed from locally-sourced timber, steps lead up to a decked area covered in pot plants, a roll top bath and outdoor dining table and chairs. This is the ideal spot to sit and relax in the tranquility of your surroundings with your loved one.
Patio doors take visitors directly into the open plan living, sleeping and dining area. The kitchenette is modern and well-equipped, guests will find all they need to put together hearty breakfasts and romantic suppers. Solar power is harnessed to run the lighting and the fridge, while the water heater and cooker are both gas-powered, making for a truly off-grid experience. The living area consists of a comfy seating where guests can take in the views and plan the day ahead, or snuggle down on chilly nights and warm their toes by the wood burning fire. There is an ensuite shower room and a separate dry composting loo which is clean, modern and stylish.
After a day exploring, fill the outdoor roll top tub, tip back your head and be mesmerised by nature's light show. Marvel in the unpolluted, constellation-filled sky and take in the sounds of nature settling down for the night. And when guests drag themselves from the tub, fluffy bath towels keep them cosy and dry before they hunker down for some deep, restorative sleep. Or load up the fire pit, grab some blankets and enjoy a drink at the outdoor grassy seating area, situated amongst swaying grasses and wild flowers.
The Blackdown Hills in rural Devon offer spectacular walking, wild swimming and cycling opportunities. Spend mornings browsing the antique shops of nearby Honiton and picking up picnic supplies before heading down to the famous fossil beaches of Lyme Regis.
