Once a horse’s stable, this beautifully restored retreat now offers couples or small families a charming place to stay in the wonderful Hertfordshire countryside. Inside, this home oozes rustic charm, whilst the contemporary amenities ensure you and your loved ones can enjoy a comfortable stay.

The Stables has a lovely open plan living space where you can gather and socialise together. At one end is the modern kitchen whilst at the other is a cosy lounge with a wall-mounted TV and a sofa-bed. In between these two sits a rustic dining table that can comfortably seat your whole group, making social meal times a joy.

When it comes to meal prep, the kitchen is nicely equipped with everything you need to whip up delicious meals making the most of some wonderful local produce. However, when the weather’s warm, why not take your meals outside onto your private deck where there’s a fabulous alfresco dining area?

Also out here sits a swinging egg chair, offering a lovely place to unwind with a good book, and a bubbling hot tub for an indulgent soak. Hop in with a glass of something tasty and take in the country views as you relax in style.

When night falls, head to your cosy super-king bedroom which has double doors that open up onto the terrace. In the morning you can wake, open the curtains and enjoy your first coffee of the day whilst taking in the view.
