Tucked away in a quiet spot in Norfolk’s sweeping countryside, The Pavilion is a peaceful hideaway for couples or families looking to escape the hustle and bustle. This stylish cabin, with its backdrop of woodland and lovely views over the surrounding fields and meadows, is the perfect place to slow down the pace and get away from it all. Enjoy a cup of coffee in the morning out on the deck as you soak up the scenery before heading out for a walk or to the river’s wild swimming spot. Explore some of Norfolk’s beautiful countryside and charming market towns before snuggling up back at The Pavilion in front of the wood-burning stove.
Step inside this lovely cabin and you’ll find a spacious open-plan living area that immediately invites you to make yourself at home. You’ll find the basics to get you started in a welcome pack of local produce and everything you’ll need to make yourself a hot drink after your journey. Pick up some supplies at the village shop in Garboldisham just a couple of miles away and you’ll be rustling up delicious meals in the fully-equipped kitchen in no time. After dinner, get a fire going and curl up on the sofa, choosing some entertainment from the selection of books and games.
There’s a lovely bedroom with a luxurious king size bed and double doors leading straight out onto the deck. Sit out first thing in the morning and you might be lucky enough to spot deer making their way through the fields or owls and other birds of prey gliding above. The bathroom has a large walk-in shower and you'll find soft towels and locally-sourced organic toiletries waiting for you. If you need a bit of extra sleeping space the sofa in the living room can be converted into a bed suitable for two children or one adult.
Make the most of the outdoors when the sun is shining and relax out on the deck as lunch sizzles away on the BBQ. Thanks to the fire pit, you’ll be able to stay out late into the evening, toasting marshmallows and doing a bit of stargazing on clear nights.
There are plenty of outdoor activities on offer right on the doorstep, whether you prefer venturing down countryside trails or going for a refreshing dip in the river. Just a mile down the road, you’ll find the Knettishall Heath Nature Reserve, a site of scientific special interest where you’ll find wild ponies and signposted trails to explore. There are several great village pubs nearby, including The Fox Inn which you can walk to, as well as charming market towns to discover. Bury St Edmunds is just a short drive away with a cathedral and beautiful Abbey gardens to visit.
