Weybourne Forest is a tranquil wood situated a short hop from the Norfolk coast. And, tucked away amidst the trees in the forest, is where you’ll find Liz’s Lodge - a wonderful retreat for groups of up to six. The lodge is a beautiful A-framed building, inspired by its Scandinavian cousins, and it has been thoughtfully styled throughout to ensure you and your loved ones enjoy a fabulous stay.
When you step inside you will love the beautiful open-plan living area, with its huge sliding glass doors that flood the space with natural light and connect you to the amazing woodland outside. On warm days slide the glass doors open and let the fresh Norfolk air come rushing in, before stepping out onto your peaceful deck and enjoying a drink with a view.
The lounge area features comfy sofas that sit around a Smart TV. This is a great place to settle in with your morning coffee as you plan the day ahead. Just off this space is the modern kitchen, where a kitchen island offers the perfect spot to sit with a drink in hand as your loved one prepares dinner. The kitchen itself is equipped with all the modern appliances you’ll need to prepare delicious feasts, including a full-height fridge/freezer, an induction hob and a fan assisted oven. There’s also a Philips L'Or Coffee Machine, for that all-important first cup of the day.
And when dinner’s ready, take it outside and dine on your peaceful deck with nothing but the trees and the birds for company. Or, if the weather outside isn’t cooperating, dine inside on the chunky rustic dining table that sits next to the giant windows setting the scene for social dinners with a view. The deck also features a superb gas BBQ, which is ideal for anyone who wants to try their hand at grilling up some delicious local produce.
When night falls, Liz’s Lodge sleeps six guests across three comfy bedrooms. The principal bedroom on the ground floor boasts twin-aspect woodland views, a king size bed and an ensuite with a deluxe walk-in shower. Upstairs, a double bedroom and a twin room share the family bathroom, complete with a bath, for indulgent soaks, and a shower. There’s also a utility room with a washer, dryer, and downstairs loo that adds extra convenience.
Off the upstairs hallway, you'll find the second decked area - a stunning glass-balustraded balcony. It's the perfect spot for a morning coffee or soaking up the sun on the loungers while enjoying serene woodland views.
You and your loved ones can step straight from the back door into enchanting woodland trails that lead to Weybourne village, Sheringham Park and even out to the cliffs and beach beyond. If you love coastal walks, the Norfolk Coast Path is close by.
Just a few miles away, the Georgian market town of Holt is a must-visit, full of independent shops, cafés and galleries. It’s especially magical in December when its Christmas Festival lights up the streets, while summer brings the vibrant Holt Festival in July.
For golden sandy beaches, head to Holkham and Wells-Next-The-Sea, or soak up the charm of classic seaside towns like Sheringham and Cromer. And if you're visiting in winter, don’t miss Thursford’s Christmas Spectacular - the UK’s biggest festive show, running from November right up to Christmas.
