Set on the beautiful West Lexham Manor in East Anglia, is a place where guests can enjoy rich woodlands, serene lakes, and some truly stunning scenery. The site has six cabins on offer, each as meticulously constructed as the next. They are built from the finest lumbers, while their woodland setting makes for the perfect romantic location. With various walking and cycle trails set around the 22-acre estate - not to mention some wild swimming spots - this is a stay that is sure to relax even the most restless of souls. And if your feet get a tad itchy, you'll be wonderfully positioned to explore some of the UK's most arresting countryside.
Upon entering one of these surprisingly spacious woodland boltholes, guests will notice the homely décor and cosy air. Each has a comfy double bed adorned in luxury linens, while an additional single bed can be made up for children. The cabins have electricity and heating too, so even in the chilly winter months you can curl up with your loved one and enjoy the beauty of the estate. Four of the cabins benefit from their own ensuite bathrooms - including a WC, basin, and walk-in shower - while Roost and Gaggle both use a shared garden washhouse. For cooking, there is a shared kitchen on site with an induction hob, kettle, microwave, and a BBQ – ideal for evening meal prep. This shared kitchen is only available during the months when the seasonal on-site restaurant is closed.
There is plenty to see and do on the estate. The manor has over 22-acres of grounds to explore and there are lots of cycling and walking trails. Fancy a dip? Some of the wild swimming spots are sure to impress and there's also a swimming pool open between April and September! West Lexham Manor regularly hosts various workshop and retreat packages too, with a particular focus on yoga and wellness - perfect for recharging your batteries!
Should you wish to venture beyond the manor, there are several pubs and cafés in the region. Your hosts will be happy to recommend their favourites. If you are missing urban life, the town of King's Lynn is a 30-minute drive to the west. Less than an hour to the east is Norwich, one of East Anglia's most historically significant cities. It boasts medieval architecture, boutique shops, restaurants, a thriving cultural life and one of the UK's largest medieval cathedrals.
