In the scenic Norfolk countryside, you will find Choo Choo Moo, a quality glamping experience with a delightful industrial twist. Harking back to a time when milk went from farm to bottling plant by train, these former goods wagons have been cleverly converted into modern, luxurious en-suite accommodation. Perfect for those who want to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city, and experience the serenity of the beautiful English countryside, your rural retreat will be set in a sloping meadow with perfect views of the surrounding farmland. Wonderfully situated in the heart of East Anglia, this little slice of countryside paradise is the ideal couple's getaway.
At Choo Choo Moo you will have the choice of two wagons: The Edwardian Carriage (Edward) and the Victorian Carriage (Victoria). Both names allude to these different periods in Britain's industrial history, with their looks being inspired by these two eras. Expert craftsman have worked to ensure that these little gems are unique in their appearance, but the same in their comfort and quality.
In each, you will find a carefully considered decór which fits in perfectly with the respective theme. Both come with a full-size double bed, a kitchenette, unlimited hot water, their own en-suite bathrooms, and a mini log burner (for those chillier nights). Step outside onto the large decking area, where you can take in the amazing views of the surrounding farmland. The site is totally off the grid, and part of an environmental scheme where dedicated areas and trails have been set aside to help wildlife in the Waveney Valley. The owners have also done their best to ensure that your stay is as eco-friendly as possible, and the site is powered by solar panels. So, not only can you live in quite luxury, you can do so guilt-free!
The site itself sits among the family run South Farm, where all Choo Choo Moo guests are encouraged to explore its working brewery, ice cream manufacturer, gin distillery, horse stables and number of other cottage industries. If you'd like to go exploring then the East Anglia countryside is abundant in medieval villages, nature hikes and various other attractions. Just a 30 minute drive away you will find the historic city of Norwich, a UNESCO city of literature and the cultural hub of the region. With an array of historic buildings, pubs, restaurants, galleries and museums, there is something for everyone in this marvellous medieval city.

Leave a reviewFantastic place to stay! Holly was so helpful and friendly from the very beginning, the carriage was just perfect and the surroundings even better. The space was fabulous and our dog loved being able to run around in the fields off lead. Highly recommend!

I cannot recommend this beautiful place enough! I surprised my partner here with 7 nights in the Edwardian Carriage and it was the loveliest stay away! Every tiny detail was thought of - a weeks supply of tea / coffee making supplies - pots / pans / cutlery / cooking utensils etc - we were even left a welcoming pack of cookies, some beautiful blooming flowers andsome cozy dressing gowns! A standout feature for us was the gorgeous fire place - it made the carriage so cozy and on colder nights made it toasty! The shower was also a great feature - hot water / powerful / spacious and came with big bottles of proper shampoo / conditioner and body wash instead of tiny bottles that never last through one wash! The decking was beautiful - we sat on the swinging bench every morning with a mug of coffee looking at the beautiful views and made the most of sunset BBQ's too! We even had my sister and her partner round one evening for a BBQ too! The owners, Holly and Richard, supplied us with plenty of firewood and there was more available to purchase if needed! The carriages came with 4 bikes - two for each cabin - which we took out most days as its location is perfect for long walks and bike rides! Now the best feature by far.. Was the stunning outdoor bath - definitely what made me book in the first place in comparison to other places! Just across from the cabin in the hidden field - overlooking stunning views; the most relaxing thing! There was no risk of seeing anyone for miles and came with a big bottle of relaxing bubble bath! There were plenty of places near by to explore if that's more of your cup of tea / we did venture out to Pura Vida - a beautiful cafe / garden centre for a fabulous breakfast which was a 5 minute drive - and Southwold Beach for an afternoon which was just a 40 minute drive away! Holly and Richard couldn't have been more helpful - on standby if we needed anything! Thank you!!

I needed somewhere to relax and unwind and this certainly fitted the bill. Beautiful location, quirky accommodation, and super friendly hosts. Holly and Richard could not have been any more helpful. Unobtrusive but there whenever needed. In the words of Arnie..'I will be back! Highly recommended.

This was our first time glamping and we had a wonderful time. The hosts got in touch with us before our stay to provide us with lots of useful information about the local area and also quickly responded to our questions. The hosts met us on arrival and were really helpful and friendly. Our welcome hamper was amazing with really high quality local produce including cheese, butter, raw milk, marmalade, bread and cookies. The hut has been renovated to a really high standard and is full of charm. The hosts have thought about all your needs and is well stocked with everything you will need for your stay. You are supplied with a good quantity of wood for the burner and the fire pit. The bed was very comfortable and the shower was powerful. There is reliable hot water at all times of the day. The hut is solar powered and the lighting was also reliable. There are two USB power points and a 2 hob gas cooker. They have a lockable outhouse with a good sized fridge. The garden area outside the hut is private and looks over fields. There is a swing bench and dual fire-pit/bbq, it was a lovely area to sit and cook in the evenings. The hut was exceptionally clean, I was surprised how clean it was since it’s in the countryside! They take COVID seriously and use a fogger between guests. We had a fantastic time and really recommend this place
