Relax and unwind in style, enjoying a peaceful break in the marvellous Suffolk Countryside at Upthorpe Lodges. Guests can unwind in one of four fantastic self-catering holiday homes, complete with private gardens and luxury hot tubs. Located in a garden setting surrounded by the Suffolk countryside, this is the perfect location for exploring the nearby pretty villages, market towns, and the beautiful coastline of this delightful county.
The lodges are designed and decorated to a five-star standard, with everything included so guests can escape the trappings of day-to-day life. Each lodge sleeps two people, making them the ideal romantic getaway. The four lodges - Cedar, Oak, Birch, and Maple - are all designed to a high standard and are clad with Western Red Cedar from British Columbia, and come with solar panels on the roof.
Set on one ground floor level, the lodges have underfloor heating and WiFi throughout. Inside each lodge is an open plan living, dining, and kitchen area with its own unique style. This includes a comfy sofa in front of the widescreen TV that comes with Netflix built-in, as well as a dining table seating two people, and a fully equipped kitchen complete with fridge/freezer, oven, microwave, dishwasher, and washer/dryer. Bi-fold glass doors open up onto the private garden and allow the outside to come in, flooding the property with plenty of natural light.
Elsewhere on this level, guests will discover the double bedroom with king size bed and ample wardrobe space. Glass French doors from here also open out onto the terrace, while there is a bathroom with a spacious shower, a WC, and basin. The aforementioned decked terrace is directly outside the lodge and is home to outdoor furniture, a gas barbecue, and sun loungers. There is also a hot tub big enough for two people and then a private, landscaped garden beyond so those staying can make the most of their amazing surroundings.
Located in Suffolk, the nearest town is the historic Bury St Edmunds. Just 10 miles from Upthorpe Lodges, the cathedral and famous brewery of Greene King are popular attractions that are well worth a visit. Also relatively close by are the popular cities of Cambridge and Norwich, while the UK’s east coast is a little further on.
