If you’re looking for a peaceful getaway in a quaint Norfolk village, then Monarc House might just be the place for you! This fab cottage blends traditional charm with modern luxuries having recently undergone an extensive, sensitive refurbishment and extension. All of the details have been meticulously considered, creating a stylish hideaway that’s perfect for groups of friends or family.
The home is nicely nestled in the peaceful village of Baconsthorpe, just a stone’s throw from the vibrant Georgian market town of Holt and a short drive from the stunning North Norfolk coastline.
Step inside and you’ll be greeted by the light-filled dining room, featuring natural flagstone flooring that flows seamlessly into the sitting room and kitchen. The centrepiece here is a circular stone dining table, perfect for grand dinners with friends or family. A double-sided wood burner connects this space to the sitting room, offering warmth and ambience on cooler evenings. The sitting room, part of the new extension, is a peaceful retreat with natural sisal carpet, bi-fold doors opening onto the garden and plush sofas inviting you to sink in and relax.
The living areas are wonderfully bright and airy, offering space to socialise and unwind in style. There is also a selection of amazing artwork on the walls, and boutique furnishings add to the sleek, contemporary style of the space.
The kitchen is both stylish and functional, with a natural stone floor, solid wood worktops and a marble sink. Fully equipped with an electric range cooker, induction hob, dishwasher and a fridge freezer, budding chefs will love preparing delicious feasts or hearty breakfasts here. There's even a Nespresso machine for that all important first coffee of the day.
Heading upstairs, the cottage has three beautifully designed double bedrooms, one of which offers incredible country views. Each bedroom has comfy beds and thoughtful touches ensuring you and your loved ones enjoy a peaceful night’s slumber. The family bathroom, with marble tiling and a large walk-in shower.
Approached from the quiet lane, there is parking for two cars to the rear of the cottage. The terrace and garden can be accessed from the parking area or via a pedestrian gate from the lane. This pretty garden has a gravelled area to the front of the cottage and paved terrace to the side with planting which naturally softens the landscaping. There is a garden shed, perfect for storing bicycles or surf boards, if you are of a more adventurous nature.
Baconsthorpe is a picturesque village, ideal for countryside walks and exploring the nearby ruins of Baconsthorpe Castle. And with Holt just three miles away, you’ll have access to boutique shops, cafes and even a steam railway.
