Nestled in the tranquil and charming village of Burnham Thorpe, Crabtree Cottage is a beloved family retreat that promises a serene escape just two miles inland from the coast and a mere mile from Burnham Market. This idyllic village setting offers the perfect balance of peace and quiet, coupled with the best of North Norfolk living.
Recently renovated and redecorated to an impeccable standard, Crabtree Cottage boasts a pristine interior and a spacious garden.
Upon entering, guests are greeted by a spacious glazed entrance leading into a double-height vaulted kitchen and dining room. This large, sociable space is equipped with top-of-the-line Miele appliances that make meal preparation a joy. The fab dining table, with bench seating and four chairs, comfortably seats eight making it perfect for social meal times that stretch long into the night!
If you want to relax and unwind indoors then you'll want to head to the dual-aspect sitting room which features a large open fireplace and cosy seating in two separate areas. There's even an upright piano for anyone who fancies entertaining the group, and some grand French doors open to the garden to add charm and elegance to the space.
The TV room, or snug, offers a quiet retreat with an L-shaped sofa seating five, a flatscreen TV, for movie nights and another log burner for staying toasty and warm all year round. And after a day out hiking, there's also a practical boot room that provides ample space for storing coats and boots, while the ground floor also includes a shower room with a walk-in shower, wash basin and WC. To top it off, there's even a utility room that features a utility sink, washing machine, tumble dryer, ironing board and an iron.
When bedtime beckons, Crabtree Cottage offers four cosy bedrooms that all guarantee a delightful night's sleep. The master bedroom is a giant, grand, double-height room with a king size bed and offers amazing south-facing views over the courtyard. There is another king size room available too, as well as a double-height bunk room for the kids which also features an additional children’s wrought iron bed. Finally, a twin room offers plenty of flexibility for your group.
Stepping outside, the south-facing courtyard garden is enclosed and features a lawn, a fab terraced area with seating for 12, a built-in BBQ, shrub borders and a sunken trampoline that the kids will love! This really is the ideal spot for socialising in the summer sunshine and whiling away evenings with a drink in hand as the sun sets and the stars come out!
You can also make use of 'The Boatshed', which is a versatile space for entertaining or works as a games room, complete with a snooker table that converts to a dining table seating 14. There's also a kitchenette here, with an under-counter fridge, sink and hob. If you fancy some privacy you may also wish to head to the outside bathroom complete with a bath, handheld shower, wash basin and WC.
Crabtree Cottage stands out as a unique Norfolk gem, ideal for families or groups of friends year-round.
