These two beautiful barns can be booked separately or together for big group getaways. The Workshop and The Cattle Shed provide groups of 10-16 people a fabulous base from which to explore the beautiful Norfolk countryside and when booked together they can accommodate 26 people across 11 bedrooms.
The Workshop is housed within the Grade II listed building that served as a central feature in the initial farmyard. This constitutes a section of the barn that lends its name to Great Barn Farm. Initially the farm workshop until the early 2000s, it has undergone a transformation into a luminous and spacious open area, preserving many of its original features.
The Workshop spans two floors, offering six bedrooms for a total of 16 guests. The kitchen and dining areas boast a polished concrete floor with underfloor heating, a large induction hob, two ovens, two dishwashers and ample worktop space. The highlight is a spacious dining area with a long table. Upstairs, a cosy sitting room with a large sofa awaits. Outside, a private dining area invites you to savour the Norfolk skies.
And next is The Cattle Shed, which offers a luxury self-catering stay for large groups. Once a home for cows, this space has been transformed into stylish accommodation. With five bedrooms, four of which are ensuite, on the ground floor (including a bunk room), and one ensuite above, it sleeps 10-13 guests, with extra people accommodated on camp beds.
The rustic-themed interior features stripped wood, polished concrete floors, original brick walls and underfloor heating. The well-equipped kitchen, spacious living room and the dining area all overlook the pretty private garden.
There is plenty to keep guests occupied in the vicinity and visitors have full access to an indoor pool, sauna and steam room at 'The Sheep Dip'. Children must be accompanied by an adult in the pool area at all times. If you plan to use the pool, kindly bring your swimming/beach towels, as the ones provided in your room are not intended for pool use.
Beyond the barns, guests can discover Norfolk's beautiful coastline, sail the famous Broads and visit the many historic market towns and villages. The Crown Inn at Gayton is just a mile away for cosy, pub dinners in the Winter and refreshing drinks in the beer garden during the Summer months.
Please note: minimum stay for this property is: 3 nights low season & 7 nights high season
