Nestled among idyllic countryside near the Suffolk coast, Farmstead Lodge is easily accessible from London, Cambridge, Ipswich and the Midlands.
As you walk into the lodge, you’re greeted with the sight of your open-plan living, kitchen and dining area. Natural wood and neutral tones are the order of the day. Light browns and muted greens bring the outdoors in and allow you to reconnect with nature, while vintage furnishings add to the rustic feel. The fully equipped kitchen features a large, range-style cooker for making traditional meals, and all the cookware and utensils you need. In the mornings, it’s hard to beat the smell of fresh coffee and a cooked breakfast permeating the lodge.
The seating area features plush sofas that urge you to sink into them. In the colder months, light the wood burner and curl up under a blanket for a movie night on the large smart TV. In the summer, spend your time outside on your private veranda. Sit back on the outdoor furniture, or sink into your private, outdoor bath to soak away the stresses of the modern world.
When it’s time for bed, head to one of your ensuite bedrooms and drift off under thick bedding, with nothing but the peace and tranquillity of the Suffolk countryside around you. Both bedrooms feature ensuite facilities and the king size master bedroom also boasts a freestanding, roll top bath to unwind in, while the twin room features a walk-in shower and sink. There are countless enchanting walks directly from the lodge, many of which take in winding rivers, picturesque villages and traditional pubs. Easton Farm Park is nearby and offers opportunities for kids to run around and pet animals. The village of Easton and the small town of Wickham Market have independent shops and cafes, while further afield, the large town of Ipswich boasts a waterfront, plenty of shopping and an array of festivals and events all year round.
