Spend your days exploring the fantastic footpaths and bridleways, visit the nearby historic Bolton Abbey on the banks of the River Wharfe, or explore the quaint towns and villages of Yorkshire.
As you approach Stank House Farm, you’ll be enchanted by the large, traditional stone farmhouse set against the rolling Yorkshire hills. As you enter, the rustic styling, exposed wooden beams and bare stone floors will take you back in time, while the soft decor and restful neutral tones encourage you to relax. Move through to the living room and you’ll find the perfect place to reconnect with family, cuddle up under a blanket to watch a film together or play games on the large coffee table. In the colder months, the crackling wood burner keeps you warm from the winds outside.
The traditional country kitchen has everything you need to feed the whole family, while the large dining table can seat all six guests with plenty of space for an evening meal. In the summer months, why not light a BBQ and enjoy some alfresco dining? Watch the sunset over the Yorkshire countryside from the terrace, or pour a glass of bubbly and sink into your outdoor hot tub. When it’s time to go to bed, there are three ensuite bedrooms, including a twin for the kids.
Stank House Farm is part of the Bolton Abbey estate that features the huge ruins of the 12th Century Bolton Priory, the ancient Strid Wood and countless walking trails among the woods and hills. The nearby village of Bolton Abbey boasts cafes, pubs and a shop for the essentials, The towns of Skipton and Ilkley are also nearby and offer independent shops and restaurants. Further afield, the bustling city of Leeds and the historic town of Harrogate are both an hour or so away by car.
