You’ll find this charming house tucked away in a quiet spot on the Thornton Watlass Estate near the market town of Bedale in North Yorkshire. Offering a peaceful escape with stunning views across the surrounding countryside, this is the perfect place to get away from it all. The house is also within easy reach of the Yorkshire Dales and the North York Moors, making it an ideal base for exploring the beautiful natural landscapes and the towns and villages of the area.

Step inside Pasture House and you’ll feel at home right away. It has recently been restored to create a holiday home full of charm and character. The two sitting rooms on either side of the entrance hall provide plenty of space for everyone to put their feet up and relax. You might fancy getting everyone together for a game of cards or a movie night in one of the sitting rooms, or you could curl up in front of the open fire with a good book in the other. There’s also a games room upstairs, equipped with a pool table and a jukebox, making it easy to keep the whole family entertained.

The charming farmhouse kitchen features an Aga and everything you’ll need to whip up delicious dinners after long walks in the Yorkshire Dales. You can eat at the large dining table next door or take your meals out to the patio on sunny days. You’ll find a BBQ area in the garden where you can cook outdoors while enjoying the views across the estate towards Wensleydale.

When it’s time to turn in, there are four individually furnished bedrooms to choose from. Each has its own colour scheme and character and all are equipped with comfy beds and luxurious linens. There’s a twin bedroom on the ground floor, with a shower room just next door. The other three bedrooms are doubles and located on the first floor, along with two family bathrooms featuring luxurious roll top baths.

If you fancy getting out and doing a bit of exploring, you’ll find plenty to see and do in the area. Located on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales National Park, there are endless opportunities for walking and cycling amidst some stunning scenery, with some trails accessible right from the front door. Head a little further into the national park and there are some beautiful walks around the Aysgarth Falls. For a bit of culture, hop in the car and you can be in the historic market town of Richmond or the city of Ripon with its beautiful cathedral within half an hour. Both offer some great places to eat and plenty of history to discover.
