Rustic charm meets modern design in these two beautifully restored barns set within 26 acres of rural countryside on the edge of the stunning North York Moors. Both of these amazing barns provide you and your loved ones with the perfect place to unwind and recharge your batteries.
Up first is South Range, a welcoming property where you’ll find a fusion of original features and contemporary design. A neutral colour palette and natural textiles help create a calming space, while carefully curated antiques and homewares add extra interest. With cosy yet spacious rooms and stunning views across the rolling countryside, you’ll feel yourself relax as soon as you step through the front door.
At the heart of this home is the open-plan living area which boasts a wonderful, high-vaulted ceiling and sliding doors that offer breathtaking views. Socialise here on the comfy seating or head to the bespoke kitchen, with its handy breakfast bar where you can perch with a drink and keep your loved one company as they work away at dinner. The fully equipped kitchen area has everything you’ll need to whip up a feast and the dining area has a large table with seating for six and is perfectly positioned to make the most of those stunning rural views.
The two luxurious bedrooms are decorated in calming tones and both have ensuite bathrooms for added privacy. The two bedrooms feature super-king size beds, and one of the rooms also has a mezzanine floor with two single beds, so it can accommodate a family of four.
Step through the sliding doors from the living area and you’ll find a delightful south-facing patio and garden offering fabulous, panoramic views over the well-kept lawn to the picturesque vale beyond. This is the ideal spot to enjoy an alfresco meal, sip a sundowner on the comfy sofa or take a relaxing dip in the hot tub. You can also keep nice and warm around the fire pit as the stars come out above.
Up next is West Range. This barn is equally stylish, and seamlessly blends historic charm with contemporary luxury. Retaining many of its original features, this stunning former stable block offers a fab, spacious open-plan living area with soaring vaulted ceilings, exposed beams and elegant wood parquet flooring. Large bifold doors flood this space with natural light allowing you to socialise with a view. Prepare delicious meals in the fully equipped kitchen and get comfy around the dining table that’s perfect for long, lazy dinners with friends and family.
When night falls, West Range offers two beautifully designed super-king size ensuite bedrooms, one of which even has its own large bathtub for luxurious soaks at the end of the day. Both bedrooms perfectly blend traditional features with contemporary design to create calm and relaxing spaces to retire to.
Just like South Range, West Range also offers an amazing outdoor space. Sink into the wood-fired hot tub and soak up the peaceful surroundings, or gather around the firepit with a glass of wine as night begins to fall. A large outdoor dining area, complete with a BBQ, makes alfresco feasting a must.
Both barns enjoy a remote location on the edge of the North York Moors National Park. The surrounding countryside is waiting to be explored on foot and the sleepy market town of Pickering is just 3.4 miles away. For anyone craving a slice of history, medieval York, with its ancient city walls, Gothic cathedral and 14th century streets, can be reached by car in around an hour.
