With its incredible views of the North Yorkshire coast, Burnsyde Beach House is fresh, modern and spacious – there’s room for up to six guests. In Saltburn-by-the-Sea, a few miles from the North York Moors, it’s perfectly placed for country and coastal expeditions.
Burnsyde Beach House is just a short walk from the centre of Saltburn, a Victorian resort with old-style attractions and plenty of new bars and bistros to discover. There are two double bedrooms and a twin room, along with a family bathroom featuring a roll-top bath and walk-in shower.
The property is a bungalow, and makes the most of its space with a loft bedroom with its own en suite. The open-plan living area enjoys great views out to sea and features a spacious kitchen with breakfast bar, stainless steel appliances and dining table.
It all flows seamlessly into the living room, where you have comfy sofas, a flat-screen TV and feature fireplace. The sunroom offers another seating area with a large window, allowing you to look out over the beach and cliffs in comfort.
The house also has a cute garden with its own patio dining space, perfect for drinks and dinner on a summer evening. Beautifully furnished throughout, the interiors at Burnsyde Beach House are just as impressive. Lots of hard work has gone into the renovation of the place, which now has a whole new feel and character.
Saltburn is home to a miniature railway and a cliff tramway, which links the pier with the promenade some 120 feet above. The town also has one of Britain’s best surfing beaches – it’s in the top 10 according to The Guardian. There is a local surf school which offers lessons to people of all abilities, so even beginners can get a taste for it.
The Valley and Italian Gardens provide some attractive green spaces, and the town serves up a surprising number of places to eat and drink too. From traditional pubs to independent coffee houses and restaurants, there will be somewhere new to try every day.
The popular resort of Redcar lies just over ten minutes’ drive from Saltburn, and a picturesque drive through the North York Moors will take you to Whitby in around 40 minutes. There is a lot to explore in north-east England and Burnsyde Beach House puts it all within reach.
