Set on a peaceful country lane out of the village of Crakehall in North Yorkshire, this contemporary barn conversion is the perfect spot to escape the busy everyday with the family. Enjoy long walks through the rolling hills and stunning landscapes of the Yorkshire Dales before rustling up some lunch on the BBQ. Relax in the garden or head out to explore the charming market towns and villages nearby. Round off the day with a dip in the hot tub, perhaps doing a bit of stargazing in the beautiful dark skies.
Step inside and you’ll be welcomed by a bright and spacious open-plan area with big glass doors leading out onto the garden from the living and dining areas. To one side, you’ll find the fully-equipped kitchen with an island where everyone can gather to lend a hand with the dinner preparations. Enjoy your meals together at the dining table or head out onto the patio in the summer months and make use of the BBQ or the pizza oven. As evening draws in, retreat to the cosy living room with its plush sofas, smart TV and plenty of space for board games.
Head upstairs to find the three bedrooms, all beautifully furnished in relaxing tones and with luxurious linens promising a good night’s sleep. The main bedroom features a sumptuous super-king size bed that can be split into twin singles if you prefer and an ensuite shower room. The other two bedrooms both have glass doors with lovely views over the garden and the fields beyond. Open up the doors in the morning and enjoy the sights and sounds of the countryside from the comfort of your bed. One of these rooms has a double bed while the other has a king size that can be split into singles and they share a contemporary family bathroom.
There’s plenty of exploring to do nearby and you can get your bearings with a stroll into the pretty village of Crakehall with its village green and friendly pub. Venture a little further to the Georgian market town of Bedale which is home to some lovely independent shops, cafes and a regular farmer's market where you can pick up some supplies for the BBQ. Go for long walks in the countryside or, for a more leisurely way of taking it all in, take a trip on the Wensleydale Railway that makes its way through some of Yorkshire’s most beautiful landscapes.
