This charming Cumbrian cottage offers family and friends a delightful stay amidst beautiful woodland and rolling hills.
Tucked away on the edge of a scenic wood with rolling hills on the other side, Rose Cottage is a truly wonderful stay for up to eight people. With amazing access to the beautiful Cumbrian countryside, this is a traditional rustic retreat that’s perfect for your next holiday with family or friends.
Inside, Rose Cottage has homely, rural decor, and historic charm and exposed beams and a cosy wood burner add to the home’s character. When you arrive, gather in the cosy lounge and get comfy on the big sofas. Light the fire and chat the afternoon away as you stay toasty and warm. If you fancy settling in with a good book and a bit of peace and quiet, head over to the cosy snug, with wing-back chairs and another wood-burner that ensures you stay cosy and warm whatever the weather outside. The snug also has a selection of board games for you to choose from.
Rose Cottage also has a lovely, farmhouse-style kitchen, which is nicely equipped with all of the amenities and appliances you’ll need to prepare hearty meals for your group including a fantastic rangemaster oven. The kitchen is also where you’ll find the big dining table that comfortably seats everyone, and sets the scene for long social dinners.
If the sun is shining, you can pop out to the back garden, which is tucked in behind a stone wall and gates, and has a lovely patio with seating. This is a great place to enjoy that first coffee of the day whilst taking in your surroundings and is also a lovely spot for an evening drink as the sun goes down.
When night does fall, head back inside and enjoy a peaceful night’s sleep in one of the four lovely bedrooms. The main bedroom has a super-king size bed that can be arranged as twins if needed and also has an ensuite bathroom for added privacy. The second bedroom also has a super-king bed that can be arranged as twins if needed, and the final two bedrooms feature double beds.
Nearby, the stunning Lake District and Yorkshire Dales provide endless opportunities for hiking, sightseeing and exploring breathtaking landscapes. Whether you’re seeking adrenaline-fueled activities or peaceful countryside escapes, this area is perfect for outdoor lovers looking to immerse themselves in nature and adventure.
