You should know
- Two dogs are welcome; please enquire prior to booking if you wish to bring more than two.
- Dogs must not be left unattended or allowed on furniture, and all waste must be properly disposed of.
- Off street parking for four cars.
- If you want to elevate your stay, the owners have contacts for all manner of services, including private chefs, massages, helicopter flights, and many more services. Please note that all services must be paid for and arranged between you and the service provider.
- There is a helicopter landing space on-site for anyone travelling by helicopter.

The barn sits on 27 acres of private grounds and has fabulous terraced gardens that offer up breathtaking views out across the lake. Spend afternoons out here, breathing in the fresh Cumbrian air whilst soaking in your surroundings. Then, head inside to the barn’s beautiful and rustic lounge with its high ceilings and exposed wooden beams. Here you can unwind on the sofas with your loved ones, drink in hand, or watch a movie on the TV.
The barn’s kitchen is nicely equipped with sleek, state-of-the-art equipment ensuring you have everything at your fingertips to whip up hearty feasts for your group. You can then dine in the charming dining room, with oak flooring and a fabulous handmade dining table for eight. The dining room has its own huge glass door that opens up onto the outside, ensuring you can enjoy social dinners with a view. If you fancy dining alfresco, then you can take your meals out on your terrace overlooking the lake.

When night falls, the four wonderful bedrooms feature handmade beds made by And So To Bed, a specialist in fine antique-style beds. The beds all feature Vi-Spring Elite mattresses, one of the best mattresses money can buy. So you’re all but guaranteed a perfect night’s slumber! Two of the bedrooms feature super-king beds, one has a king size bed and the last one has a double.
Stroll down to the lake in the morning, where you have your own private stretch of shoreline and a jetty where you can unwind in the sunshine. If you decide to venture further afield, there’s plenty to see and do nearby. A true gem of Britain, the Lake District offers endless adventures. Hike rugged mountains, soak in the fresh air, and take in breathtaking views of the shimmering lakes below. Explore on horseback, by bike, or on foot as you immerse yourself in nature. Covering 912 square miles, the National Park boasts towering peaks, deep lakes, and diverse wildlife. The Howtown pier for the Ullswater Steamers is a 10-minute walk from the property. The trip on the lake provides some of the best mountain views in England.
