Tradition and modernity meet in the Yorkshire countryside in this wonderful converted barn with hot tub, games room and luxurious contemporary design.
In 250 acres of farmland, hidden way from the world, this spectacular converted barn combines tradition, modernity and, above all, fun to offer friends and families a brilliant place to relax and play in the fresh Yorkshire air.
The pretty stone exterior is surrounded by lovely rural views as far as the eye can see. Birds swoop across the large lawned garden, big enough for impromptu games of rounders, and butterflies flutter in the lovely box garden which sits adjacent to the outdoor dining area.
Entering the sumptuous interior, jaws will fall to the floor when guests take in the spectacular kitchen with its vaulted ceiling and huge kitchen island. An impressive American-style fridge, AGA oven and handmade cupboards, along with all the top of the range equipment guests could need, make cooking for the group a pleasure, which is further enhanced by the calming views outside the window.
Guests gather round the island for lovely dinners or, on warmer days, head outside. When stomachs are full and the summer air begins to chill, congregate in the lovely snug and sink into the luxurious velvet corner sofa, warm toes by the wood burner and make plans for tomorrow.
For some after dinner entertainment, take the party to the Workshop. This wonderful communal space has lots of cool, quirky design touches including a camper van, industrial decor and exposed brick and metal walls. A pool table, dart board and table tennis will keep the competitive sorts content for hours.
At bedtime there are four exquisite bedrooms. Teenagers will love bunking down on the twin beds on the mezzanine which is accessed by a ladder. There are two ground floor bedrooms, a king-sized and a super king-sized. Both are beautifully styled and share a family bathroom which boasts a freestanding copper tub and a separate walk-in shower.
Then en suite master is wonderfully glamorous. Guests can snuggle under Egyptian cotton sheets and enjoy morning coffee in the hammock on the private balcony.
This spectacular property really has everything, including private dining options, guests could need to stock-up, arrive and stay put for the entirety of the stay. But the local area is rather lovely and it would be a shame not to sample the fine dining at Middleton Lodge or take the pretty 30 minute walk to The Fox Hole at Piercebridge.
Please note: minimum stay for this property is: 2 nights low season & 3 nights high season
