Located on an old family croft near Dunlain Bridge in the Cairngorms National Park, Rivercroft offers a peaceful escape surrounded by stunning landscapes. Architects designed this newly built home with the scenery in mind with floor-to-ceiling windows in the living area making the most of the fantastic views. Enjoy long walks in the Cairngorms or go to some tastings along the Whisky Trail before putting your feet up in front of the wood burner or going for a sunset dip in the hot tub.
Step inside and you’ll find yourself in a spacious open-plan dining area with a bright and airy kitchen just beyond. The kitchen is well equipped with everything you’ll need to whip up the family favourites and the dining area becomes cosy in the evenings. After dinner, head next door to the large lounge where you can get a fire going in the wood burner and get stuck into a board game, perhaps while enjoying a dram of local whisky. This room is also a lovely place to be during the day with the large windows letting in plenty of natural light and, of course, showing off the beautiful views.
There are three bedrooms, sleeping up to six guests in total. The main bedroom is on the ground floor with a big comfy double bed and an ensuite bathroom. Head upstairs via the stylish staircase with its glass balustrade to reach the second double bedroom and the twin. These bedrooms share a family shower room with all the water on the property supplied by its own spring.
Outside, is a large garden where you can enjoy lazy afternoons with a BBQ on the go or relax in the hot tub as you soak up the view. There are plenty of great routes for walks and bike rides straight from the front door and there's also a handy utility room with plenty of space for coats and boots next to the kitchen.
Aside from exploring the stunning natural landscapes of the Cairngorms National Park, you’ll find plenty to do in the area. The historic town of Carrbridge is a short drive away with a bakery, butchers and a local grocery store for supplies. The town is known for its beautiful 18th century packhorse bridge and for some of the best skiing in Scotland. Grantown-on-Spey is also nearby where you can visit one of the local whisky distilleries and Aviemore is just 20 minutes away, where you’ll find everything you need for outdoor activities in the Cairngorms.
Please note that the minimum stay for this property is 3 nights
