For magnificent celebrations with large groups of family and friends in the most romantic setting, this spectacular lodge in the Cairngorms National Park will guarantee guests have the most memorable stay. Sitting on the stunning Delnabo Estate, surrounded by beautifully landscaped gardens, woodland and rivers bursting with wildlife and incredible views of the breathtaking Cairngorms, this truly is a remarkable getaway.
The Lodge was built in the Scots Baronial style and is resplendent with a tower, square and battlements. It will enchant visitors from the moment they arrive via the private, tree-lined driveway. The interior more than matches the majestic environment and is filled with original features enhanced by the traditional, yet modern, luxurious furnishings and decor. It is everything guests could want from a grand Scottish house.
A large kitchen diner is equipped with every convenience needed for creating sumptuous banquets. Gather around the large island, pop bottles of champagne and enjoy a pre-dinner chat while helping with the chopping and slicing. This contemporary, yet traditional room is large enough to easily accommodate outside caterers.
The splendid dining room is the perfect place to enjoy lengthy dinners which stretch well into the night. This sumptuous room is filled with historical portraits which oversee revelries and the port-coloured walls, dark wood antique dining set and thick curtains create a grand, yet warm and welcoming, atmosphere.
After dinner, pour aperitifs and head to the drawing room to finish the night by the flicker of the log fire. And when bedtime arrives there are nine fabulous bedrooms found at the top of the grand staircase. Five of these rooms, all with breathtaking views and with comfortable beds dressed with high-quality linens, are ensuite, while four share two large, luxurious shower rooms.
The lodge is just a one mile stroll from the nearest village, Tomintoul, where visitors can stock up on treats. Head to The Croft Inn and The Glenavon for whiskey and ale in cosy Scottish pub settings, while The Clockhouse Restaurant offers Scottish fine dining. From the village, guest can also hire bicycles, meaning you can strike out on two wheels and explore the surrounding area in style. The Cairngorms National Park that spreads out all around you is awash with incredible scenery, striking mountains and beautiful walking trails. So lovers of the great outdoors really are spoiled for choice here at Delnabo Estate.
