This truly one-of-a-kind retreat is a fabulous reimagining of a traditional north Norfolk brick and flint worker's cottage. The home has been extended and rebuilt over two years to create a perfect luxury cottage for groups of up to four guests.
The cottage is situated just short of the Georgian market town of Holt and as you approach, you’ll love the pretty setting and the marvellous exterior of the home, which sits amidst pretty flowering gardens.
Once you step inside, you’ll be blown away by the incredibly thought out interiors that feature a combination of traditional and modern British design, with fabrics and wallpapers from London's Pimlico Road. The home is richly textured and coloured, whilst the rustic vibe is offset by the contemporary touches, including the beautiful continuous polished concrete floor.
Rest up in the lounge, which overlooks the peaceful garden, river and woodland beyond. The lounge has a cosy inglenook fireplace so you can stay toasty and warm as you rest with a good book on the comfy sofas.
When it comes to preparing meals for your stay, the beautiful kitchen offers a peaceful haven in which to cook. Iroko features heavily, making up the kitchen island’s worktop and the workstation, alongside the various shelving on display. Modern appliances make whipping up a feast a breeze, and the dining table sets the scene for social dinners with loved ones.
We’re sure that you’ll love the tranquil bathroom, that is flooded with natural light and features an old sandblasted cast-iron bathtub, which offers incredible views out across the garden to the river. There’s also a rustic-style shower room, with hand-made moorish tiling, a rainfall shower and a reclaimed basin and tap.
Guests will love spending time outside on warm days, relaxing in the riverside garden that offers a secluded oasis where you can unwind next to a lovely chalk stream. This is a great spot to enjoy an evening drink with loved ones or dine alfresco in the summer sunshine.
