Standing proudly in a historic Norfolk village, this unique accommodation certainly has the wow factor. With its spectacular, original stained glass windows and stunning vaulted living space, its sure to take your breath away. Sleeping up to eight people in four bedrooms, it’s the perfect place for a family gathering or getaway with friends.
The huge, welcoming sitting room is at the heart of Old Methodist Chapel. This bright and airy space, with its eye-catching, double-height vaulted ceiling, is packed full of character. With original wooden floors, a cosy wood burning stove and plush oversized sofas, it’s a great place to sit and relax. Or if you’re feeling a little for energetic, you can make use of the 3-in-1 games table and challenge your guests to a friendly game of mini pool, air hockey or table football.
From the sitting room, a beautiful, wrought iron spiral staircase leads you up to a delightful mezzanine level overlooking the space below. Here you’ll find two original church pews and a selection of toys and games.
Back downstairs, the newly-fitted, contemporary kitchen is kitted out with everything you could possibly need to throw together a quick snack or prepare a lavish meal. This sociable space also has a comfy sofa, a wall-mounted TV with an Xbox and a large dining table with pew benches and seats.
The four comfortable bedrooms are located across both floors of the property. The master bedroom overlooks the courtyard garden and boasts a king size bed and ensuite shower room. There is another king size room with a feature sleigh bed, and two versatile bedrooms with zip-link beds, which can be configured as a super king or two singles.
The spacious bathroom, with its freestanding, claw foot bath tub and walk-in shower, is the perfect mixture of tradition and contemporary. There’s also a separate cloakroom with WC and hand basin.
If the weather is fine, you can make the most of the fully enclosed courtyard garden with its comfortable outdoor sofas. There’s also a table and chairs for alfresco dining and a charcoal BBQ.
Old Methodist Chapel is situated in the historic village of Heacham. Here you will find a lovely selection of shops and pubs, an 18-hole golf course and Norfolk Lavender, England’s premier lavender farm. Two sandy beaches are also within walking distance of the property so days out by the sea are a must.
