Romantics will love this unique apartment situated in the rondel of a traditional oast house on a farm in Kent. These beautiful homes, particular to Kent and East Sussex, are notable for their circular sections which were once used to store and dry Hops. One of these lovely red brick rondels has been converted into this fabulous apartment, which oozes bespoke style and luxury in a unique and beautiful setting.
The apartment is easy to access, guests ascend to the first floor via large external steps and once inside everything is on one level with just one small step up to the bedroom. This light and bright open plan space has a stunning vaulted ceiling complete with traditional timbers, the local red brick has been left exposed and the area features internal stain glass windows.
At one end of the dining area, patio doors offer uninterrupted views over the pretty countryside and open out on to a Juliette balcony where guests can lean over with a morning espresso taking in the fresh air and listening to the bird song.
The living space is beautifully furnished with colourful rugs on wooden floorboards, armchairs and a cosy sofa - perfectly positioned for relaxing with a good book in the sunshine or simply enjoying the view.
The apartment has a compact but well-equipped kitchen where guests can rustle up romantic suppers to be enjoyed at the circular wooden dining table with antique bench seating.
For a relaxing night in, take a soak in the bubbling jacuzzi in the circular bathroom before cuddling on the sofa with a glass of wine and enjoying a movie on the extra large projector screen. If a night out is desired, then there are two great pubs within walking distance of the apartment.
When bedtime beckons, the magnificent circular seven-foot bed is found in the oast's rondel, guests can lie in bed and marvel at the circular ceiling and enjoy tree top views from the windows.
Oast Apartment is perfectly located for those looking to escape the city, it's just 30 minutes from London and, with walks from the door across miles of countryside and a local shop just a 15-minute stroll away, guests can enjoy a car free break.
