From its stylish interior to its indulgent hot tub, this bespoke, luxurious shepherd’s hut has been designed with comfort in mind. Located in a private meadow within an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, it’s the perfect place to relax and unwind on a memorable trip for two.
Inside this light and airy studio-style accommodation, you’ll find everything you need to guarantee a glorious getaway. The designer décor, premium fittings and indulgent extras make Humphrey Shepherds Hut a wonderfully welcoming retreat.
At the heart of the cosy hut, you’ll find the contemporary kitchen area, which comes fully equipped with top of the range appliances. There’s also a small table, where you can enjoy a morning coffee or light bite, and a wood-burning stove to keep you cosy in the winter. On arrival, a thoughtful welcome basket will be waiting for you, with chocolates, Prosecco, marshmallows for toasting and everything you need to prepare a delicious, continental breakfast. There’s also complimentary coffee, a fab Dualit coffee maker, hot chocolate and a variety of teas.
At one end of the hut, the cosy bedroom boasts a comfortable full-sized bed with luxurious Egyptian cotton bedding to help aide a peaceful night’s sleep. At the other end, you’ll find the luxury ensuite with refreshing rain shower, WC and hand basin.
Step through the door and descend the wooden steps to the spacious outdoor area with its Indian fire pit and comfortable Adirondack chairs. Here you can feast your eyes on the spectacular views of the surrounding countryside in the daytime and marvel at the starlit sky in the evening. You can also enjoy a relaxing soak in the private Scandinavian wood-fired hot tub. Logs are provided, along with waffle robes and flip-flops, so every detail has been taken care of.
If you can tear yourself away from the tranquillity of the hut, countless countryside walks are right on your doorstep and, for the more energetic, a trek across the fields will take you to a couple of fabulous, old country pubs. And the historic spa town of Royal Tunbridge Wells, with its independent shops, buzzing cafes and excellent restaurants, is a 20-minute drive away.
